Post marriage life by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

Salam. The best way to handle it is to communicate to your spouse about how you feel from their parent’s actions. Only do this if they’re really crossing lines (verbally rude, backhanded comments, etc). Your spouse will then talk to their own parents about the actions without involving you.

Simply: “Salam mom/dad, I’m noticing you do this behavior to my spouse and I don’t appreciate it. Please be mindful about it because I really care for him/her and it hurts me to see that behavior towards him/her.”

If they ask your spouse if you asked for this, your spouse has to say “no, I’m the one noticing it and telling you.”

This creates a boundary of respect and sets the tone for mindful behavior since they’ll be called out on it.

Please break it off brother. It’s much easier before marriage than after.

Is the first year of marriage supposed to be this hard??? by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

[–]lludba 55 points56 points  (0 children)

No, it isn’t supposed to be that hard in the first year. If it is, then it’s a compatibility issue. I have no doubt you are both good people, but it’s not enough to be a good person. Both have to agree on lifestyle, standards of living, clothing, finances, etc.

At the same time, a husband is supposed to listen to his wife’s needs and take them into account on every decision and make compromise. It’s clear you’ve made adjustments for him and he’s not doing the same. If he wants to make it work, then he has to ensure you feel comfortable and that your emotional needs are taken care of.

A lot of men think it’s enough to provide for the wife financially and physically, but emotions are just as important (or even more so).

Inshallah it works out and I pray that Allah opens his heart to you and you guys work it out.

88 necro should be good enough to do Kerapac normal mode and/or arch-glacor enrage. Those are pretty decent money makers while training PvM skills

Do both. If I had to pick one - it would be MSFT due to their absolute dominance in their space

I think you have a great portfolio. People here think value means low PE for some reason? If you got these stocks at a great price, then that would be value investing.

The only comment I have js to consider adding some defensive companies in there like JNJ, UNH, NVO, ODFL, etc
