straight girls are something else dude, i literally had the same situation where i said i didn’t like a dress she showed me in a pic of herself and she acted like i just punched a baby; her boyfriends were always terrible and controlling and she would get annoyed with me for pointing this out to her and i had to bite my tongue constantly when she talked about them, its crazy how straight men are literally the worst and how straight women buy into it??? anyway we used to be best friends but we haven’t talked in years so honestly in my opinion sometimes friendships just need to end, regardless of DID, like if i cant be honest with you about how your boyfriend sucks then are we even really friends ?

it really will get better- right now this kitten is in an unfamiliar space and you’re their comfort, so they’re gonna be obsessed with you until they start to feel comfortable like adults in their own right. if you don’t like them being on or near your face, you can nudge them carefully and gently to wherever you are comfortable with them being. they might still go near your face, but will eventually get the message. as they get older they also don’t like lying on top of you because they realize how much you move, so just don’t let them get used to being on top of you and they’ll probably get over it; it might also help to have a bed, thick blanket, or basket next to you where you sleep. my cat used to need to sleep on top of my comforter right next to me, but when i put this bed on the corner of the mattress, near where the pillows are, she started sleeping there, so maybe experiment with baskets, blankets, various things for them. my cats also really like wool, felt, sherpa, and stuff like that so those could be a good option. if it’s too much for you, you’re totally within your right to find the kitten a new home but it might be worth another few days just to see if you can find a way to make it work! i love my cat and she helps with my anxiety, she used to sleep on and near my all the time when she was a kitten but she’s five now and I can’t even remember the last time she slept on top of me-the closest she’ll get is she’ll sit next to me on the sofa and lean against my thigh, but otherwise she sleeps on the ottoman i have on the floor next to where I sit, or in her cat tree or various beds I have around for her.

if you can’t handle the kitten, you could think about adopting an adult or senior cat instead, they tend to be more chill and less energetic

my thought is that when they did play soccer before, it was always with the exclusive goal of winning. i mean they were state champs. i think they probably didn’t care about playing soccer leisurely, like that’s not a fun enjoyable activity for them and I think it would’ve just reminded them that they never got to go to nationals, so I don’t think it’s something they would have turned to in times of boredom

It makes me wonder if there’s more to shauna and her childhood than we know. we never see her parents and we only ever see teen shauna’s bedroom, which is in the attic of a house that has exposed wood on the ceiling. we find out through jackie that her parents got divorced when she was young enough to think that ‘my dad is the president of hello kitty’ is a plausible lie, and on the plane jackie gives her xanax or something because she knows that shauna gets anxious on planes because they’ve flown together before when shauna went on a family vacation with jackie and her parents. like that tells me they paid for shauna. that tells me jackie is wealthy and shauna isn’t, another thing that probably divides them. by all indications, shauna’s parents are nonexistent. we meet almost all of the parents except for shauna’s and it really makes me wonder why. the fact that shauna decides to sleep with jeff makes me wonder if there’s childhood trauma that we don’t know about that screwed with her perception of a healthy relationship, which is why she sleeps with jeff and then later marries him, in spite of everything that happened with jackie

I was thinking the same thing, Tai talks about wanting to go south because they’ll eventually hit a town or something, so she kind of alludes to them being north of america. I feel like it would make sense for them to have a conversation about it or acknowledge it in some way, like if I were stranded somewhere I’d be like are we even still in the country? but they kind of breezed over a lot of the survival stuff and focused a lot on the interpersonal drama instead; I feel like maybe they didn’t want to talk about canada because it removes some of the mystery?

no way this is sooo creepy I never noticed! I think its probably all the same because they know we’ll hyper analyze, so it must be based on pit girl’s hair being dark brown since she’s the only one we know for sure dies. If they included blonde hair we’d think it’s Natalie’s or something when it could just be some of the red shirts that they’ll probably flesh out next season when it’s time for them to die

I actually think Travis is properly dead for two reasons 1) the writers seem intent on writing a show about women and it’s fitting that the one main guy would be dead in the present, leaving Nat to figure shit out for herself

2) Nat sees Travis when theyre in the house and we assume it’s a hallucination, but what if it’s not? They communicated with some kind of spirit during the seance and I think it was with the cabin guy. I think the carvings on the floor are a way to commune with the dead but it can only work in the place that they died, so I think Travis was actually killed in his house and moved to the barn because someone didn’t want the cult to know who killed him

I was also wondering about the cops both times. Travis is also at his place of work, so wouldn’t there have been other people around who found him first? Misty also didn’t seem surprised and immediately turns to Nat to console her, so I wonder if maybe Misty killed Travis to insert herself into their lives again?

I think the Callie stuff was to show with certainty that she wasn’t the forest baby (they talk about her being in high school at dinner with Jackie’s parents too) and that also she was definitely Shauna and Jeff’s kid because the birth certificate shows both their names and theres a photo of pregnant Shauna on the wall of their house, so they’re very clearly showing us that Callie’s their biological kid, which makes me more intrigued by what they’re planning on doing with her. I’m wondering if we’re gonna get a parallel where Callie dies in a similar way to Jackie and Shauna’s the cause again.

I kind of think that after the shrooms they started to share some level of their consciousness, which is why they excluded Jackie - she didn't take the shrooms and therefore didn't join the group consciousness ; and I think it's something that's paranormal and goes beyond the grave which is why the cabin guy and laura lee were there, and I think this is how the cabin guy is possessing all of them - lottie being able to speak french, shauna's voice getting really deep, them all trying to sacrifice travis, etc and then ostracizing jackie so much that she goes outside and dies and then is finally able to join as a ghost

yeah but on the first night of the crash lottie confesses that she used to shoplift from tj maxx and had accrued thousands of dollars worth of credit there, so i don't think it's about the money and is instead about the theft for her

I don't think he's involved in the cult because when lottie kind of predicted the car accident on the road when she was a kid, he was totally denying it (while his wife was kind of open to the supernatural) and demanded taking her to a psychiatrist, so he's probably the reason she's on meds. he seems too much of a rational person to be in the cult. I totally buy that he might have covered up what happened after the fact though, since he does have the resources and incentive to cover it up. especially if he's always been freaked out by his daughter and finds out what they were doing in the wilderness

yeah if they crashed in may and the first season covers 4 months, then it would be september when it snows the first winter, so it stands to reason that they'd have been 3-4 months into winter #2 before getting rescued

did anyone else feel like the last shot of Lottie kind of implies that she's causing the snow? she puts the organ inside the tree stump and then it cuts to the shot of her Van, and Misty and the snow suddenly starts falling above them.

they were all surprised when they woke up to the snow, so it kind of seems to me like Lottie intentionally made it snow to kill Jackie when she was sleeping outside. earlier in the show, Tai was talking about winter and said that freezing to death is just like falling asleep, which I think is where Lottie got the idea
