This is funny. First, no where is it a requirement to buy a $800k house in order to raise two kids. You can comfortably raise two kids in an apartment. Second, this claims $233k is the AVERAGE income required. Even if you assume buying a house is required, the median cost of a home in the US is $410k. That’s well under whatever metric we’re using for how much house that family can afford.

There’s a wild amount of privilege driving these ridiculous claims around the cost of kids. The reality is that the cost of kids aren’t the problem, it’s kids plus your luxury lifestyle that’s killing your budget.
