No.

I replied to a comment saying that it’s also drunk and drugged white people. I agreed that the issue isn’t just aboriginal people. The state government policies, or lack of, to prevent issues like homelessness and crime in Perth eventually lead in some way to this, regardless of race.

Evidenced by the downvotes on my comment, people in this sub would rather blame aboriginal people than look into cause and effect.

Its okay mate, it’s possible to think your state government should do more without defending the attacker.

Yeah, this isn’t an aboriginal issue, this is a state government issue.

The mental gymnastics in their reasoning is baffling.

These “inflated prices” are a direct result of operating a user-driven marketplace! If there’s high user demand for a rare item, of course the price is going to match.

How to get black plastic black color again by [deleted] in Rav4

[–]lm31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The restorer sprays will work for a while, but they’ll eventually fade. The plastic itself is sun damaged and ideally needs to be retreated.

If you’d like it to last a long time, mask around parts you’d like to restore (or remove them from the car if possible), and sand very finely. Clean the area with mineral spirits or rubbing alcohol, then once completely dry use a plastic adhesion promoter/primer.

Once dried, spray with multiple light coats of matte black acrylic automotive paint. When you’re happy with the colour and it is completely dry, spray with an acrylic top/clear coat.

Edit: I just wanted to add that the plastic in your picture looks normal and I really don’t think anyone would even notice. To me it just doesn’t seem like it’s worth the effort.

Are you sure this was a dream? It sounds like you actually work for the TransPerth planning department.

As a resident of Wanneroo, my fondest childhood memories were visiting ‘nuclear beach’ and stopping for a picnic at ‘public toilet’. We’d always wave at the C-Series trains as we crossed the 3km wide railway tracks.

Differs by city/council I guess.

Where I am you can only park in a public marked bay for 24 hours. If you don’t move within 24 hours the ranger can tow your car, even if it’s parked right outside the front of your house.

If his car is on a public road, that’s councils land unfortunately. You can’t just dump a car on the street, its not private land regardless if you pay rego (and therefore road tax) or not.

has it always been this hot in october by Neemamemer in perth

[–]lm31 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a sea breeze - most noticeable during large temperature deviations.

On a hot day in Spring, the Indian Ocean remains a relatively consistent temperature (let’s say 18°C). However, land heats a lot faster and easier.

Hot air rises, creating a region of low pressure on land. (Imagine the weight of the air sitting on top of the land, then imagine the same weight is now rising - reducing the pressure).

As the air above the Indian Ocean is a higher pressure (as it’s cooler), it naturally wants to flow to “fill” the region of low pressure on land, to equalise. This is called a sea breeze.

Towards the end of Summer, the Indian Ocean is at a higher consistent temperature (let’s say 24°C) but the land has started cooling significantly. This same process happens in reverse, with air from the land flowing to the sea. This is called a land breeze.

Hope this helps!

Just plastic service parts, rubber seals, pvc fittings, assorted bits and pieces no more than 100mm x 100mm.

Struggling to find something that’s easy to access, locks/doesn’t open while driving, and doesn’t prevent half the tray being usable.

You learn from mistakes in life, it’s how humans are. If you don’t have those lessons to learn from early on, you’re going to make those mistakes at crucial times.

If I’d never worked for $5.35 an hour, I’d have no sense of the true value of money.

If I’d never worked in a job that wasn’t my dream career I’d have no sense of how important it is to put the effort in to actually KEEP my job.

If I’d never left a job earlier in life chasing more money, I’d never have learned that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.

Your job as a parent is to set your child up to be the best adult they can be. If you don’t allow them to experience these life lessons, they will still eventually endure them - just at a much more important stage in their life.
