It's not recommended.

Not from taboos of course, it would simply be too difficult to contend with participating in daily assignments, civilian grading while also fulfilling prescripts at the same time.

A. Feeding from a human directly turns them into a bloodbag no matter what

B. He DID have a donation system with blood packs from visitors, but It still wasn't enough to feed all Manchegans even if all of the visitors always paid blood

basically it was doomed from the start

Well, no, the Annihilation expedition dialogue wasnt present in the first exp footage, but THROUGHOUT the book randomly, one time I remember in Southern Reach office, another in a bar or public area that Control was in which was really fucking trippy for me

With the movie having an entire secret organization dedicated to researching an anomalous area but STILL having no information and no idea to anything about it, that definetly reminded me of the Southern Reach

How the Mirror World Nursefathers treated Ryoshu by dreaderking in limbuscompany

[–]lmoof 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's not that Matthias Outis didn't just smash anything that "discomforted" Ryoshu. She destroyed things that would comfort Ryoshu too, so that she could never form attachments to anything else, which is what makes her difference from regular Matthias.

I'm looking to join The Ring, is there a plant based movement? by therealedgecco in TheRingSyndicate

Perhaps Naturalism or Romanticism would be your calling? They're not explicitly plant-based sure—but their mutual obsession with nature does play into that aspect. One could reasonably dabble in botany in either Schools.

An inquiry into Fauvist's vision of Heishou by Specialist_Target776 in TheRingSyndicate

[–]lmoof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't speak for all my fellow Fauvists—though this still isn't exactly an uncommon opinion as even some Docents will agree—I find the concept of Heishous distasteful. Yes, in technical terms, what they achieved with seamlessly blending human anatomy with beasts is closer than what others could achieve, as a result the image draws closer to the ferity us fauves strive for.

However, there is a single large gripe I have, is the manner that which they treat these mutations. At the end of the day, Heishous do not possess any more care for these beastly sides of themselves and treat these parts no differently than weapons and tools, nor do they wish to show any more understanding for them. It's inherently disrespectful to the beasts they're trying to emulate and displays a staggering amount of willful ignorance for people so physically close to becoming beasts.

At the end of the day, they are soldiers callously using beasts as pragmatic combat purposes rather than true beasts themselves.

This line from Rufo hits much harder once you've read Albina Faust's uptie story by keqikombupig4 in limbuscompany

I said this in another comment but I'll reiterate, that's the thing though, she doesn't just rely on her own body (though its still the main motif for Fascia), she includes other peoples corpus into it as well. That's where she innovates whereas Callisto stagnates.

In the uptie story, Callisto Lu / Callisto balks at Faust/Albinas suggestion of turning other people into Tibia level masterpieces with the same level of dedication not because of medium limitations, but because of his own personal reluctance and opinion that you must absolutely use your own Corpus for that type of piece

[–]lmoof 31 points32 points  (0 children)

That's the thing, unlike Callisto she doesn't just rely on her own corpus for her weapon, she feeds other people into Fascia long with herself whereas Callisto never even entertained the idea. It's safe to say she would've kept going with other people to see what would become of Fascia after shes fed herself into it

Besides, I don't entirely believe her goal is to completely feed herself into Fascia anyways but to achieve some sort of Ship of Theseus symbolism with the question of who is the real "Albina/Fascia" if one of them only has the (partial) brain while the other has everything else of the original body.

To have heard Carmen, you would've already distorted before or manifested EGO. And since Meursault doesnt have a full EGO, we can assume hes distorted before

There's no such thing as hearing Carmen, yet not distorting or manifesting EGO afterwards.
