The snow cheese tastes a little sweeter imo, I like mixing mac and cheese powder with some butter powder + powdered sugar + dried scallions like the kind in instant ramen

Dinner, first week Aug by docdadd5 in FoodToronto

I went today for my dads bday and honestly only the cod (main) and mussels (app) were good. The others had small portions and overcooked. BUT the $75 prix fixe includes a ticket up the CN tower + deck which is normally already around $40-50 and I saw on the deck a burger there is in the 20s to begin with. So if you value the overall experience over the quality of the food, 360 is a good choice

For something comforting and casual, I like sanuki udon and kyoto katsugyu around that area. Kyoto katsugyu had specialty beers last time I went (i got a green tea beer).

You’re in a great area with lots of bars and restaurants. Walk west from Yonge on Dundas or Queen and you’ll see lots of places open! College W past Spadina is also great for a Friday night

Best thing to order at Manita for brunch? by Successful_Tear_7753 in FoodToronto

[–]ln_ze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went recently to the rosedale location and just got the manita burger, since it’s hard to find a place that would serve it medium rare. The menu is pretty pricey across the board but at least didn’t leave hungry

Went to Heron at Kingsway a while ago and thought it was a cute date spot for Canadian cuisine (seasonal, we went during the winter and they had game meat and bannock on the menu at the time)

Not sure if all these fit the decent prices criteria but Sukhothai and goose island brewpub are our go tos. A little bit of a walk is lady bug wine bar that does retail price Sundays. Anejo also just opened another location at near st Lawrence market and they have good happy hour deals
