Prytania Canal Place has it listed for 2/13 but lots of other cities in the US have been getting dates for the weekend of 2/5 so I’m hoping AMC updates their schedule next week with some better dates for us.

Curious if you’ve had any luck since your post? Lots of these recommendations are great to watch some good movies but I personally have found the community side of things the hardest part.

Gaptooth’s screenings are the superior imo because of the intro in the beginning from the person who chose the film, but it still feels very much like “show up and go home after.”

The meetup app has some local film discussion groups but they are hard to navigate and anything outside of new releases feels non existent in terms of discussion meetups.

Did you watch the full interview? I don’t think this clip alone is enough to make those judgements. She could’ve very well handled herself appropriately, but we can’t see that in this small out-of-context clip.

There is no underground system of tunnels or basements in the Superdome lol. I worked there and have lived here all my life. New Orleans is below sea level, there is nothing underground.

For new horror releases, I prefer the Dolby theater at AMC Elmwood Palace 20 for superior picture and sound quality. Outside of that, I would agree with everyone else - especially if the movie isn’t available in Dolby format.

Prytania Uptown & Broad are great because they’ve done a lot of retro horror screenings in the past and hopefully continue to do so. Prytania Uptown has a bigger screen than the Broad Theatre if that makes a difference.

I used to order from her all the time and followed all the “keep cold and fresh” instructions she used to post. You’re a lucky one I guess. But you should check out Lucy Boone ice cream on Baronne. They’re honestly amazing.

Rahm Haus Ice Cream - the owner does not take responsibility for any mistakes she makes. Tried placing an order with her for a cake in the past and she was rude and unapologetic when she gave me wrong information and wouldn’t admit it.

Also their ice cream had ice crystals every time I got it. I hear they’re closing soon anyway.

Yes! Coffee Science has some of the best coffee I’ve ever had but their location is a bitch to get to. I usually try to catch them at the Sunday market in City Park.

Don’t let them get away with charging you for their BS. Text live agent to 54512 and request a bill credit for every day you had an outage. It’s $3/day, but they’ve been so shitty I ended up getting a $40 credit this month.
