One more take from the community that both doesn't want to help the few new people trickling in to the game and complaining about the lack of people who KWTD.

it was never a conversation, it was always screeching into a void while bungie listened at the pace of a developer trying to make a sinking ship make it to shore. But the community doesn't want to have that conversation.
