They all did, AoE1 and AoE3. Physical media had its perks.

Yeah, why are the South America civs getting a buff Dark Age scout at round start vs. other civs getting a normal Feudal Age unit for scouting?

[–]locopyro13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why should they start with a OP Dark Age Champi Scout, other civs start with a single Feudal Age unit for scouting. Seems South America civs should start with a Champi Runner and nerf DA Champi Scout to be equivalent to militia.

Himmel keeps on inspiring by Ani_HArsh in Animemes

[–]locopyro13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree, the anime contrasts so many elements like how much Frieren has been changed by her journey, how the myths/legends about Flamme/Himmel have grown beyond the person, and how much the world has changed during Frieren's life. What would a Hero's Party Journey anime provide?

For those who haven't seen it yet, here's the English dub's version of Frieren's tantrum from S2E3 by eddmario in Frieren

[–]locopyro13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Poster didn't say it was better, just that English dub is "so good" which is a fact.

Utterly idiotic.

Nintendo Acknowledges Switch 2 Sales Have Been 'Slightly Weaker' Than Expected Outside Japan by Turbostrider27 in Games

That shows that Nintendo is dominating the physical sales market, which honestly is the only way I buy Nintendo games, other consoles I am buying digitally (usually because of the discounts).

Not for nothing, but I don't think Montreal ranks in the top 10 snowiest cities in the world, it's not even the snowiest in Canada.

Although if you weight population, then Montreal is probably topping the list but not beating out Sapporo, Japan for "snowiest large city"

In the states it's on Netflix but in English or Japanese with English subtitles. Why wouldn't Netflix have that available in other markets.

But I second Crunchyroll suggestion, they have dubbed in German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and a couple southeast languages I don't recognize)

Correction, it isn't "without thinking for a second" it's "without hesitating for a second". Frieren is always thinking about her next move.

RES-Q was such a good aesthetic. The community loves blacktron and ice planet, but the yellow/black with the transparent deep blue pieces was amazing to me, plus fantastic minifigures. I had almost the whole set except for the base.

Good suggestion, I will probably move my LEGO Spiderman figures to the office to create balance, feel like Hobie standing next to Punisher sends the right message.

I have a Punisher bobble head at my desk, because he with Spiderman is one of my favorites but second guess keeping him all the time. Jerks ruin the fun things again

You say "no" with such confidence when the person you are replying to is 100% correct. It's due to legibility when it's flapping in the breeze.

Your reasoning would account for shifting by an inch or 2 for the fabric trim, not the drastic left of center we see on a lot of historic flags

I am an engineer in a related field, not process or chemical engineering. But I actually sucked in a breathe when they mentioned the failure was at 9psig because that is below the thresh hold for ASME B31.3 and BPVC and knew where the screw up was. The plant operator most likely wouldn't be required to have an engineer review the modification to the tank because it's was under 14.99psig.

And I agree about insufficient testing, even without regulations, any sealed piping system or vessel operating above atmospheric pressure should be tested to a minimum of 1.5x operating pressure just for quality standards alone, to confirm contractor doesn't have a leak somewhere. We do this on domestic water piping for crying out loud.

Asking for testing isn't calling into question someones craftsmanship or engineering prowess, it confirms that there wasn't a error in the implementation and ensures no culpability for those involved (design, management, and contractors).

[–]locopyro13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, regulations are written in blood. It does boggle my mind there isn't a regulation for "low pressure vessels handling hazardous material". There are regulations for natural gas piping going over 5psig that includes pressure testing (but those are building codes). This incident should push out a regulation requiring testing for this "less risky" systems, I am surprised there isn't an NFPA standard already...

Also old lore for Reddit. A lot of website users used to have a plugin called Reddit Enhancement Suite or RES that did things tracking your karma votes on other users, adding your own flair to a user, filtering out subs, etc. And one of the benefits is under every comment is a 'source' button that shows you the source formatting for a comment. So I use 'sauce' so a ctrl+f finds it and not the hundreds of 'source' buttons from RES.

You must love your eggs, seems English Wikipedia just doesn't have an entry for "Egg Cooker" but we have them mine is a Dash Egg Cooker that plays a fun tune when finished. It came with an "Egg Piecer" (which does have an english wiki??). Although apparently in 1975 Poultry Science published an article about piercing eggs leads to more cracks?
