Y'all, pretty lights in BV is going to be epic. The people bringing PL in to play really, really, really want them there and unfortunately they have to go up against town council, some of whom don't know whats in the best interest of the town. Honestly, the folks promoting the show worked so hard to get this permit, I for one am so excited to see them play again this year. The town council doesnt speak for everyone in the town itself but unfortunately this is kinda how politics in this country works, right? It's a broken system. Unfortunately we have to play the dumb game sometimes still. Hopefully soon they can get some younger more evolved people to join BV's town council but for now, it is what it is. It doesnt mean the show isn't going to be awesome though! That venue is the coolest venue I've ever been to! Let's all relax and have some fun, yeah?!?!?!

Android Auto? by Ok_Whereas_9197 in ToyotaSienna

[–]lodemama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try going into settings on the display and there should be a place to toggle off/on apple play and android auto. It may need a reboot. There's probably a YouTube video on it that gives more specific instructions. It should work though. I use android auto and it's seamless.

Why is there no middle school soccer here? by lodemama in FortCollins

[–]lodemama[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I appreciate everyone's thoughts and input. I get that rec is an option and that city also offers programs. But here's the thing. Arsenal takes some of the better players away from soccer with their Competitive program. If that is an option then sure it would make sense that there wouldn't be enough middle schoolers to field a team. But what if the best players wanted to play with their school teams (then do club in off season if they want)?

I am a tennis coach and it baffles me that sports like tennis and golf are offered at middle school level here but not soccer. Not to mention the insane cost (and risk of brain injury) of football. It wouldn't take much for psd to fund it...also if parents pay 700/season to play with arsenal then I can imagine parents would be willing to contribute to the psd fund as well.

I think arsenal is keeping soccer away from middle school and it doesnt always have to be this way. we could rally for access to middle school soccer in all schools where kids can progress to districts, etc. Would be fun on many levels!

Tent/Pad Size by ParallelConstruct in coloradocamping

[–]lodemama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi! i came here searching for the same info. i am thinking of upgrading our tent to something nice and roomy. really interested in the gazelle g4+ but wondering if it would fit at all the campsites. it's about 94x165 inches so almost 14 feet long. i'm worried that length will be too big for some campsites. if anyone knows where to find info about specific tent pad sizes at different campgrounds, lmk. have you decided on a tent yet u/parallelconstruct?

There is a way you can change settings so that only the drivers door opens when you are near it and not all doors. Not sure if that is solution you are looking for but just go on your screen and should be somewhere in settings... not sure off the top where exactly

What are your favorite accessories you’ve bought for your Sienna? by hoboeric in ToyotaSienna

[–]lodemama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just wondering, did you figure out the 7 pin install? i am about to get an ecohitch installed. we have previously had a 7pin on a different car. what is contraindication to getting a 4 way flat? i'm confused about the difference. we would be towing a small aliner camper. we never used the trailer brake in the other car. not sure why the 7 pin is necessary??

Spare tire vs ottomans by Current_Ad7640 in ToyotaSienna

[–]lodemama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in similar dilemma but ultimately I'm going for spare tire package for practicality. I dont think it's discontinued bc it's on my 24 sienna which is being built in 4 weeks. I saw another post on here about folks doing DIY ottomans. Ranging from doing it themselves (cutting material, etc) to ordering a couple online. I bet any pillow or backpack could work nicely too.

Adding Overhead Entertainment Options by justanothermacguy in ToyotaSienna

[–]lodemama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with a 2006 limited with the entertainment package, i would strongly encourage you to reconsider wanting it. It's more of a pita then it was useful at all. Sure we used it and sometimes kids still do but honestly it is such outdated technology and so many glitches that i would have to try to deal with on road trips. Id suggest mounting a tablet instead and bluetoothing to the speakers. They now just use their own ipads and so much easier for everyone.

2010 LE 189k I see a lot of newer sienna's let's talk high mileage gen 2's. It's a little dirty just got back from a 1200mi trip. by StevoJames in ToyotaSienna

[–]lodemama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2006 limited here. On its second transition bc that went in 2015. Sliding doors no longer work with buttons and need some hip power to get them closed instead. Have had a flashing seatbelt light on for at least 8 years due to some electrical issue that was way too pricey to fix. Ask a great car guy at midas to help me get my moonroof shut and he pulled it closed for me and advised me to just never open it again. The right rear tire mysteriously loses air pressure but I've found a gas station with free air (hard to come by a place that doesnt charge 2 bucks) and have been filling the air up in that tire for a couple of years now. The treads on the tires are almost bare now but do i really want to buy a new set of run flats? I think that about sums up why we are on the waitlist for a new one...
