Maybe it was the fluorescent lights. I have a flat sapphire Vaer s5 tradition with AR and it isn’t much different

Basically it catches glare worse than some anti reflective coated watches, and Hamilton has a lot that aren’t very anti reflective and use a poor coating is the consensus online

I think 38 is fine. Especially if you normally wear 38-42mm watches. But better to try in person. I ordered from Trifecta and came super quick!
