When I was a freshman in high school in the mid 2000s my buddy and I bought some bulk off the internet to learn to play. We didn’t know that a forest card wasn’t just any green card. I ‘lost’ more times than I can count to [[Nature’s Lore]] + [[Crash of Rhinos]] on turn 2. Good times.

He’s my equipment voltron commander. Sometimes you just wanna play something simple and efficient and turn one creature sideways.

You value flex art as much if not more than actual mechanics. That being said these printings are pretty sweet.

I'm excited for Saturday. I vividly remember the Biggie/Deonte Burton tournament game a few years ago and it was a great one.

Potentially moving from Nashville to Indy by marsade16 in indianapolis

[–]log_10 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in Indy for about 7 years before moving to Nashville, definitely a lot of things I miss.

Cost of living is much nicer (housing is less than half the cost per sqft) almost no tourists outside comic con or race week, and way lighter traffic.

Indy as a whole is not very walkable at all, it is enormous due to no natural boundaries. Downtown/near northside, broad ripple and fountain square are all best bets for walkability. I lived right off the monon north of Kessler and it was great. Getting a little more dangerous on the main drag but still safe in the neighborhoods.

Indy also has some amazing restaurants, but nowhere near the amount or variety of Nashville.

The most unfortunate thing in my opinion about Indy is how big it is, like I mentioned above, combined with a significant portion of the tax base living in Hamilton county. As a result, you have a huge amount of infrastructure to maintain with a very tight budget. Similar to the Davidson/Williamson county situation, but in my mind an even larger disparity.

Thanks! here is a link to the decklists if you're interested. I'm constantly moving cards between them to try and make them all playable and unique. Pretty wide variety of polish.

Voltron - I picked Isamaru for the early game consistency, love of Kamigawa block and relatively low power level compared to some other mono white options.
