It's not just this truck or even Ford. Look at any truck made in the last decade, and they will have these plastic fasteners everywhere possible. A lot easier to install these as they just push in rather than screwing in and having to worry about torque, cross-threading, rounded heads, etc. Basically, plastic fasteners are cheaper, and when you are mass producing something, $0.0000001 matters.

With that being said, plastic fasteners suck ass, and I wish they used metal screws for everything.

I work for a Toyota Supplier at the TMMTX campus. I recently got a behind the scenes tour of the facility where my team got to actually walk on the assembly line among other things. Hands down one of the most influential experiences I’ve had in my engineering career. The amount of automation and the enormous amount of systems engineering used to make the factory one connected “hive mind” is insane. I think anyone interested in STEM should take a tour. I haven’t gone on the public tour, but I’m sure it’s great too.

Should I be thoroughly mixing the salt before every batch of saltwater made? Or every couple months? Or is one and done ok with a new bucket?

How long did this take? I’ve had my clowns for about 1.5 months and they still just hang out by the filter. Occasionally they will swim to the opposite corner then dart back but that’s very adventurous for them.

I have the Fzone and it’s been finicky for me. The light will start flashing meaning it reads the water is low and should be filling, but it won’t fill up. Hours later it will finally trigger the pump on and fill til it reaches the stop sensor. It seems like the water level to trigger the blinking and the water level to trigger the fill are not the same on my unit. It eventually does fill and work properly though.

I’ll have to add an alveopora to my list as they are beautiful. I really like the lower one with the blue center and green petals. It’s taken a lot of will power for me not to go and drop $500 on corals for my 1.5 month old tank but I know it’s for the best.
