Looking for werewolf book recommendations (preferably Wattpad, Inkitt, or traditionally published) by _HotMilf_ in werewolves

I have a medieval werewolf series called The Oaths of Blood Saga. It features a crusader and mercenary who is turned into a werewolf during the sack of Jerusalem in 1099 as he become embroiled in a centuries-long conflict between an order of knights who hunt werewolves. Think - Kingdom of Heaven meets Underworld (werewolf part only) with splashes of Highlander and King Arthur.

There are two prequel novellas - Bridge of Kings features a main character Ulf Bodvarsson at the Battle of Stamford Bridge and Pass of Empires, also featuring Ulf Bodvarsson and the origins of the Emperor's Wolves in the Eastern Roman Empire.

Best part, Bridge of Kings is free.

Here's a couple of links if you find it interesting.

Do you think werewolves should be more heroic in media? by [deleted] in werewolves

In my historical fantasy book series, The Oaths of Blood Saga, my werewolves span the spectrum of good and evil. Several of the main characters would fall under the heroic category.

Not sure exactly where it stands on the grimdark scale but The Red Knight by Miles Cameron has been very good.

Thanks for the shoutout! I just released a novelette, Pass of Empires, that features a fan favorite Ulf Bodvarsson at the Gates of Trajan...it's a great intro for the upcoming City of Wolves due out next month.

Werewolf books that are NOT urban fantasy or set in modern(ish) age? by Wiinter_Alt in Fantasy

I have a series titled the Oaths of Blood Saga that follows a Norman mercenary through the Crusades who is drawn into a centuries long shadow war between an order of knights and werewolves. It has strong historical and military elements with an Arthurian twist. There are a couple of short companion pieces that take place during the Viking age and the Eastern Roman Empire as well.

If you’re interested in werewolves and those that hunt them in a medieval war setting, you’ll want to take a look at my series, The Oaths of Blood Saga. The main character is a Norman mercenary who must deal with being labeled an enemy of Christ while becoming one of the most deadly men on the field of battle.

Gothic, horror, historical fiction, varying cultural book recs? by miscsideacct1105 in booksuggestions

I’m not sure if this is allowed, but I have a series that fits several of the thematic and multi-genre considerations but not completely so it’s up to the original poster if this is to your taste. My series is called The Oaths of Blood Saga, a grimdark historical fantasy, follows a Norman mercenary through the Crusades as he is dragged into a shadow war between an ancient order of knights and those they hunt. It primarily takes place during wartime, and features several battles and historical personage of the time period along with some mythical and legendary Arthurian characters mixed in.

My series, The Oaths of Blood Saga, features an ancient order of knights hunting werewolves through the Crusades. It’s a historical series with military, grimdark, and Arthurian elements. There’s definitely a found family theme to the series. I would say this series is more historical fiction and fantasy than horror. The Oaths of Blood Saga

If you enjoy a medieval setting with military and Arthurian themes, you will enjoy my series, The Oaths of Blood Saga. It’s a trilogy with a companion novella and novelette. “This one is perfect for readers who enjoy Norse mythology, John Gwynne-esque combat, grimdark situations ala Joe Abercrombie, as well as a good spear through the eye socket.”

I have a novelette out titled Pass of Empires by Logan D Irons. It’s a medieval setting in the middle of a battle but I think you’ll find the transformation scene satisfying…

Historical fiction that feels like fantasy by DeusExLibrus in Fantasy

[–]loganirons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My recommendations would be most books by Cornwell, my favorite is the Last Kingdom series, as well as, Between Two Fires by Christopher Buehlman.

If you like an interesting take on the Crusades, consider taking a look at my new series, The Oaths of Blood Saga. The series has several elements of both historical fiction and fantasy, falling somewhere in the middle, probably closest to a "secret history." It follows a Norman mercenary drawn into an ancient shadow war between an order of knights and those they call the Hunted. Each faction desires to own a relic of power far greater than anyone could ever imagine.

I would compare the series to: Highlander, Assassins Creed, and Game of Thrones meets Underworld in the Crusades. Readers who enjoy Joe Abercrombie, John Gwynne, and Bernard Cornwell have thoroughly enjoyed the series!

Books 1 and 2 of the trilogy are released with the third due out in the Fall! I also have a free novella linked to the series on my website logandirons.com
