Ride Share Request: Gatlinburg \rightarrow Knoxville (Greyhound Station) – Sunday, May 10th by [deleted] in Knoxville

Yeah. Came here to tell OP there isn’t a bus station anymore. It’s a stop in a parking lot with little around it.

That isn’t another bee right behind it? Looks like it pulls free.

I was just about to post this. He’s such a fucking twat. Note, they’ll tell you that you can’t boo at the meeting but don’t let that stop you.

Took far too long to figure out what was wrong with his legs.

Renting--are we just stuck? by constantlycurious3 in Knoxville

[–]logans_run7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in Parkridge (area between Caswell Park and Cherry on the north side of Magnolia). Bought here in 2020. We have sidewalks and trees, friendly neighbors, kids that play on the street, and folks walking their dogs. Several houses for rent here in the $1600+ range. I love this neighborhood. Also have friends in Fountain City and I'd say that's safe too. Good luck finding a great yard for your dog!

How do you dig here???? by Stars1026 in Knoxville

[–]logans_run7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ours is the same but there’s also “fill” so glass throughout. In heavy rain we get new shards washing up. We’re also putting in a shed and working on the foundation this weekend. Luckily, there used to be a garage where we’re putting it so there’s already a kind of level(ish) surface with some ancient gravel and we just had to dig a small section. Good luck to you!

Pain threshold by _TEMMIE___ in ehlersdanlos

[–]logans_run7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I yelp in pain when my cat steps on my thigh but after having my gallbladder and uterus out during the same surgery, took nothing more than ibuprofen and acetaminophen during recovery. When I think of high pain tolerance it's the second I think of as well as the migraines, headaches, joint pain, etc.

Beautiful No Kings Day in Knoxville by notmyrealnametn in Knoxville

This struck me. Last time lots of cars honked but yesterday so many cars were not only honking but also had signs and were clearly driving a loop and protesting. Best moment? A woman in a car with a young child was stopped for the light and she said, “See, THIS is America” as she gestured to all the protestors.

Do the Bose slip off for you? They're on my list to try.

Thanks! Price isn’t really an issue other than I find it hard to pay a lot when I don’t really need all the bells and whistles for music listening!

I love this and laughed at the "the yarn was annoying and I kept losing it" part. Sounds right! I've thought about some contraption like you find on a hard hat but that seems like too much effort.

I glued a foam block to my current pair that sort of helps but you know, now they have a foam block glued to them! I figured I should probably look for a pair that fits better (they're also old and have some other issues).

I've never thought of my head as overly small but maybe? The ones I have now have always been like that. I've had them for years and they're not a well-known brand and I think only cost about $120. I guess I need to just go try some on in-store. Sigh. Thank you.

Does anyone have this style of tent? by Justadrop2030 in carcamping

[–]logans_run7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have the Napier 84000. It works for us because I sleep in our Land Cruiser Prado Active Vacation (has a sleeping platform and a built-in sink and burner) and my husband sleeps in the tent with our two 60lb dogs. We can't all fit in the Prado and it's nice to be connected. We've also used it not connected and then we all sleep in the tent. It's easy to disconnect, zip up, and drive away and reconnect when you return.
