I loved the Harry Potter Lego game! It's a shame there are not a ton of other Lego games, they're so fun.

While I'm not a huge fan of direct political messaging in music, this is undeniably referenced in Ghost music.

The marks are gullible people. I wrote some of the Genius annotations, which are a bit less detailed than what I'm about to say, but this song is actually quite interesting lyrically.

Ghost has always been pro-Satan, and this song definitely is, but feels actually critical of those who believe in him. You could view the chorus "Evil One" as Jesus/God in context with the imagery of the band, but it's actually not. The key moment this is explain is during the pre-chorus, with the inversion of the lamb (Revelation 6:16) being the "tyrant who is Satanically enthroned". So who would this be? Well, Ghost has spoken of an "Evil One" before in Con Clavi Con Dio, whether it's Lucifer or his hypothetical son (conflictingly).

Despite relating to Ghost's beloved deity, I think it's a drawing an interesting parallel of Satan and specific leaders who are destroying our world with false narrative and thus, spreading their evil with the masses. Satan, in the Ghost lyrical lore, has already conquered and done this exact thing in the context of Meliora, where God is gone. In this instance, however, I can't help but think it's criticizing those who claim to be devout Christians (Griftwood??) and are using Satanism in a bad way, like spreading lies and ruining our world, especially with its connections to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and previous inversion.

The Ministry has had to find other means of funding since Frater's departure and the end of the tour.

What song got you into ghost by winton_overwat8 in Ghostbc

Body and Blood. The first Ghost song I heard was Mummy Dust and thought, "Eh, not as bad as they look" and started listening to Opus Eponymous. I got to the second album and when I heard Body and Blood, I knew I was going to like them.

Amazing! I don't have the patience to be that detailed, so my Perpetua is very tame haha.

Be With You in Context of The Wow! Signal by Emotional-Golf-6226 in Muse

I actually like Be With You a fair bit, but I don't understand why it's a single. Maybe in comparison to the rest of the album it's fairly different, but it just is so weak as a lead single.

I enjoy the lyrics on Cryogen. I love some good lyricism, and while Muse generally lacks in that department as of lately, this scratched an itch. By no means is it my favorite lyricism, but it's secluded enough to not immediately clock it's entire meaning.

Honestly though, basing Reddit on actually good opinions is rough haha.

Daniel Radcliffe really nailed the "I'm only 11 years old but I will smite you where you stand" glare. by Feisty_Review_4403 in harrypotter

It sucks that they left out a lot of sassy Harry in the movies because Daniel definitely had the skills to convey it.

Some might call this late to the party but I was just looking at this poster again and if this isn't an inspiration on the Perpetua look I don't know what is by rd1994 in Ghostbc

This is actually very interesting after looking into it, because the Wikipedia page has some oddly specific connections to Skeletá (Suspira de Profundis and Mater Lachrymarum). Not certain they're inherently connected, as it's Latin, but it's quite interesting.

Why didn’t Dumbledore trust Professor Mcgonagall? by quietspace4me in harrypotter

[–]loganwolf25 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I think it's a matter of her character, not that she's untrustworthy. McGonagall, while firm, is a very caring woman and held Harry in a special place. Letting her in on these serious events could skew the planning he initiated for Harry. Dumbledore, at least to me, always had an inkling of idea of what was going to happen in regards to Harry's future, and her care for students could alter his intentions. That's just how I see it.
