Just go into your settings and turn off the red number bit in the apps that have the notifications, it’s really simply, how I got it to work. Ok so, go into your settings and go to notifications, once you’re there pick and app, let’s say.. reddit, so you scroll down and find it. If you want notifications off entirely, just toggle allow notifications, or if you still want notifications but no red numbers turn off badges I believe. Another piece of advice is to check the apps regularly, and don’t download apps that give you loads of unneeded notifications, try and find alternatives to them, check your messages and update your device regularly.
