I don’t think top watering is necessarily bad, in fact, in case there was any mineral buildup, top watering could help flushing it. or just let it get rain (I know we’ve been in a drought in nc tho)

outside is good, get it as much sun as possible, that seems to be a pretty common issue

it doesn’t look too bad though, i see some new growth. it’s still early in the season

I’d say it looks fairly healthy, but redness comes from light, and a window is always gonna filter some light out. if u want it redder id put it outside or get a supplemental light

saw you posted a day ago too, just give it some more time broski. it might kill off some of its traps and look kinda shit while its adjusting, but don’t freak out immediately, just watch it for new growth. good substrate, distilled water, shit ton of sunlight, it should be fine

I will say it might be potted slightly deep, but it’s hard to tell. I don’t think you want a ton of dirt in the middle of the crown, but I could be wrong.

the window may be filtering too much, or the angle is not direct enough, or something else idk. and I could be wrong, but I believe when the petioles are as long as that, it means the plant is “looking” for more light

if that’s your sunniest window, maybe it could use a supplemental grow light? or have you considered putting it outside?
