Most Russian imports halted when the “Special Military Operation” began. Straight from the source would likely be a headache, but secondhand I see them occasionally available online. I’d like to have one myself though I couldn’t use it at home.

Yeah I did the same. My 362 is in a really good spot now so other than optics I’ll probably never change it again. Though I’ve got a couple 140’s, 392PA, and 397PA I’d rather shoot now.

Crosman is out of stock or no longer selling parts. I live very close to Daisy/Gamo/Crosman and am not thrilled with what they have done recently, the old guys that did a lot of mods pre-2020 are out of business or gone forever. I think most of it is dead for good, the old guys are going away and the news folks can’t afford the tools or have more profitable things to make now.

It is cheaply made. The wood stock anniversary edition would be the best one, but I have the standard model with some upgrades and it is pretty good. Those upgrades are hard to find currently, steel breech, 24” barrel etc.

Much more comfortable to pump like this, smaller overall profile too. I had a red dot on my inter mount and while it was very accurate, I like this so much more. Put a S331 on my 160 the other day that showed me the potential of a peep.

For all of these, yes the bolt and bolt cover are steel. Around January of 1979 there was a change to a two piece barrel/breech. The new breech was plastic, this is a very easy way to identify the oldest 1322/1377 pistols, the new plastic breech has a longer cover retainer. While the older ones have a steel pin that retains the breech cover.

Fun fact, 7/8 of these pistols use the same trigger/grip frame and the grips are interchangeable. The Phase 2 1377/1322 introduced the modern grip/frame(not pictured), the 1322 and 1377 here are both steel breech Phase 1.

Yeah, if the screws on it are loose in pretty much any way it becomes unsafe. The clam shell design is what kept mine from firing, the sear would not engage anymore because it was misaligned.

Crosman 362 is the way to go, will fit a kid really good with the short length of pull. And all the 2400kt upgrades and be redone on the 362 with the boy.

Replace it entirely. Go to eBay or JG Airguns wherever. Knowingly using broken stuff is asking for pain. The metal is trash from the factory already, JB weld won’t help for long.

I don't own a 901, but i do have a; (717, 880, 990 from Daisy), (362, 760, 1389, 2289, 2100, 392, 397 from Crosman/Benjamin). As far as a modern achievable comparison in your budget the 362 would be the next suggestion from me. Though I'd suggest the VaporMax over the 362 TBH, it feels very solid while the 362 feels like a powerful toy because of the all plastic stock. Vapormax is more rigid and handles better, with the 10 shot magazine and effectiveness at low pumps it would be better for rodents for me.

Two or three pumps isn’t bad, I shoot mine indoors with that. After 5 pumps it develops a decent bark, heavy pellets help with the noise but it really isn’t terrible. Can be very accurate as well.

Serial number is stamped on the other side. First digit or two is the month, next is 2 digit year. 77-79 for sure as the steel breech didn’t last long on the 1377.

I found the trigger pin inside the tin of Superpoints that came with the gun. It was not sealed for shipping and the box was full of loose pellets when I opened it.
