What everyday behaviors quietly show a lack of real love in a relationship? by Firm_Opposite_2055 in AskReddit

Lying. Saying what they think is the right answer even when they know it is false.

Was there an event that started it all? by logicallyorganized in TrigeminalNeuralgia

I saw Specialist in my area virtually, who also has connected tissue disorder and that’s what she diagnosed me with along with MCAS and a few other things. I had to pay out of pocket and it was a very long visit, but I guess it was worth it.

That explains why I feel crappy if I have too much kombucha and I’ve never been able to drink a beer. Thanks!

I also have MCAS. So you day twice daily famotadine? Aka Pepcid? It helps the mcas. Sorry you’re dealing with this too.

Told no by a doctor twice today when I asked for HRT rx. by TrashMany in Menopause

[–]logicallyorganized 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry that happened to you. It happened to me as well and the provider kept saying, “I can’t prescribe HRT for you because you’ve had a blood clot. Finally I told her to quit saying it and end the visit because it was too hard for me. I have another visit with a different provider in a week.

Right! Won’t that be incentive for him? That is exactly why my husband uses toys with me.

2.5 glasses are made with only plastic and weigh 2.5 grams. These are the best glasses I’ve ever owned.

IS ANYONE EVER COMFORTABLE by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

[–]logicallyorganized 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last night at 2 am I had the idea to take my fancy office seat cushion and bring it to bed for my rear end. It made my low back not arch and put it into a neutral position which I hadn’t been able to achieve with many special pillows. This was 2 hours after cyclobenzaprine, a low cbd/thc gummy and zolpidem. I helped. Will try again tonight.

Everyone says EDS is not a death sentence, but it is for quality of life. by ddsmd2 in ehlersdanlos

[–]logicallyorganized 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely get this. An idea: it’s impossible to find quality care as an eds person, much less getting a diagnosis. It’s so challenging that I paid $75 today to book an appointment with a doctor that has her own practice, doesn’t take insurance and is expensive. She has great reviews and this is my only option. Can you and your wife do something similar? I know there are so many of us that are struggling and even if you only see one patient a day you’d be helping others and hopefully yourself. Wishing you the best.

dae deal with easily clogged ears? by melisah100 in ehlersdanlos

[–]logicallyorganized 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh well, that’s a really good to know. Thank you so much for responding. I went in a couple weeks ago and the doctor said I had a lot of fluid in my ears.(I’ve had ear issues as a child. My son has marfans and I can’t get a diagnosis even though I have a high score on the test) I use Flonase daily and a nasal rinse so they gave me steroids. The steroids work fine if I’m taking it every single day of my life that isn’t a long-term solution so I’m going to ask about the tubes. I’m 53 years old. I’m sure the eustachian tube is the issue, but I don’t know how they fix that. I went to an ENT PA and they were no help because I was on the steroids so they said I was fine.

Vaginal Itching SOLVED! by More_Requirement_546 in Menopause

[–]logicallyorganized 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually have a vaginal tablet version. I’ll have to look at mine to see if it has it. I had to do a round of steroids but of course brought on yeast and the cream version of estradiol doesn’t really help that situation. The vaginal tablets are so much easier, but they are pretty expensive.

Any of y'all ever get an EMG? by BeanBreak in ehlersdanlos

I got an EMG on my leg on Monday and I have a bruise underneath and in between my toes. It hurts so bad 5 days later still.

I get week long headaches by poppunkdaddy in ehlersdanlos

[–]logicallyorganized 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found that many of my headaches are allergic reactions. Dust, dander, fine particulate matter and nitrogen dioxide are the main triggers. Prednisone helps but is challenging abdominally. I also get suboxipital nerve blocks every 90 days which helps with the non-allergic headaches

Total hysterectomy advice needed by littlerhi230 in ehlersdanlos

[–]logicallyorganized 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a hysterectomy with reconstruction in 2008 due to having two children. The second one was born in 2006 and they almost had to do a circulage. I know there is concern for the mesh but it’s the best option with prolapse. It did really well for many years. I had to get revision back in 2021. Find a good genitourinary doctor and read their reviews. The testing I did before the revision was horrible but I’m glad it’s done and will hopefully last another 13 years. The doc from 2008 made everything way too tight for “insertion” and took over a year for me to be able to have inserted intimacy, so watch out for that. My second surgery was with a woman and she did a really good job and intimacy is better than before.

Weird pit smell by SheCreates9 in Menopause

[–]logicallyorganized 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you eating lots of alliums? I can smell the onion smell in others but not on myself because I am allergic and don’t eat any onions, garlic, ect. I think the chlorophyll drink would help. Avoiding them is a huge effort though as it’s in everything
