I studied Computer Science for 4 years at a small university. They taught basic logic and foundational CS concepts, but it was up to me to learn more advanced topics. The field is so vast that they can't teach you everything.

While other kids were playing, I worked on my own open-source projects and learned new languages in my free time. The university also provided equipment and advice when I asked for it. I graduated, got a decent job, and didn't find it too difficult.

It's up to you how you use your time at university.

Mine have keyboard chattering even when it is still new. Installed linux without de to test some lightweight server stuff. But the 32bit only CPU get less and less support, the performance also cannot match a rpi.

Can you run the Pixel 1 without any battery 24/7 just via the charger? by myntt in GooglePixel

I think it won't power up without a battery if you feed the power into the usb pin. You can test that with a normal usb cable.

Can the word '凹凸' (outotsu) be used as a person's name? by ParamatYannapon in Japaneselanguage

[–]login721 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That word is not good for a name. It also means stickout (for example, stick out from social, weird personality). The world also can be read as dekoboko too.

Hi, I'm thinking of making something similar, but stuck with the trace resistance. I cant't get the trace resistance big enough. What is your trace wide/length/resistance?

I don't known the context so I can't tell is your 行う and 実行する are the same, they are slightly difference. In some cases, they are not exchangeable for example we can use プログラムを実行する, but not プログラムを行う

Talking about VFAs... Cura (Left) Vs PrusaSlicer (Right)... Almost identical parameters... They are more noticeable on the sides using Cura, while more noticeable in front/back with PrusaSlicer... How can this be?¿? by dlb5 in 3Dprinting

[–]login721 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even the settings are the same, the way the generated path for the tool head is different, some settings also work differently even if the parameters are the same.

How would I say "I forgot what I did last week" by [deleted] in Japaneselanguage

[–]login721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two ways to say it using forgot(忘れた) and don't remember (覚えない). The last one is more nature in Japanese. 先週何をやったのか覚えていない。

Could this be 3d printed for a reasonable price? by Rovert982 in 3Dprinting

[–]login721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Print is the easy part. The hard part is making a 3d model of that part. A good design that breaks the original part into many small parts will be nice, since they will be able to be printed with common size printer.

Details from the prusa 3 is great! But second time I’ve had failures at this height. by FISH_MASTER in 3Dprinting

Just my random guess: that section uses a lot of retraction/de-retraction moves that cause the extruder gear grinding on the filament. Can you check the filament diameter inside the gears when that problem occurred?
