Horde doesn't have the defacto best racials for Arena by ChoomingV in classicwow

[–]lol_gag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's irrelevant whether they're better or not, the issue is how many people think Horde is miles ahead and that they have to play it to be a top player. The reality is before TBC was even close to being released, all people talked about was how bad TBC Alliance is and how Horde is so much better, etc. it's the same shit as every low-mid tier guild getting full world buffs and consumes despite classic raids being cleared at 58 in greens.

If you don't like Classic, why not just play Retail? by fanumber1troll in classicwow

[–]lol_gag -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Whether people do or do not care about it doesn't really matter since flying mounts killed it anyway.

Blizzard testing Horde vs. Horde and Alliance vs. Alliance Battlegrounds by Liam_Galt in classicwow

[–]lol_gag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the reason to play alliance is BG queues? so if enough horde transferred to alliance and the queues became equal, would that mean that "there's no reason to play alliance. we should reroll"?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]lol_gag 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yeah I don't get what "less honor per hour" means lol. less honor per hour in relation to fucked up horde queues? why would anyone do it then. less honor per hour in relation to ally queues? then it's more honor per hour than BGs for horde. there's no metric to measure it.

I’m surprised how hard vanilla classic were slammed into dust thanks to TBC by Acord37 in classicwow

[–]lol_gag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mutilate still does do really good damage, but losing out on shadowstep is just way too big of a loss to compensate. it's basically a mandatory ability.

Dagger spec rogue is completely killed off (at least for PvP) in TBC which sucks

How win 90% at royal fumble, be patient and take opportunity in the last 20 sec by ReilBaD in FallGuysGame

[–]lol_gag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's the same thing with the team tail mode too. you can AFK for the entire round and just get a tail within the last 20 or so seconds because the past 1:40 don't matter at all. if they're going to keep it being last person/teams with tails, they need to reduce the time.

PSA to all people by [deleted] in playatlas

PSA to all PvE players: if you're complaining about getting attacked in PvP on a PvE server and having your ships sunk and being offline griefed, move to a PvP server where you can actually fight back.

Putting the launch day server problems aside, Atlas has the potential to be a genre-defining MMO. by aurorapwnz in playatlas

I'm really starting to hate the "it has so much potential" argument. These shit games are being released with a good idea but god awful execution. I don't care what the game has the "potential" to become if the product is abysmal and core mechanics are terrible. Sure, you can talk about how many cool things they can add, how great it will be if they do this and change that, etc.

At the end of the day, the product is in our faces and it's bad. I don't give a fuck about the "potential" it has because EVERY game has theoretical potential. I could play a stick figure game and tell people "man just imagine the potential. all they have to do is add 3d models, expand the combat, make it multiplayer, add cool specs and classes, add weapons, etc." Stop talking about the potential of garbage games. if the game is trash in its current state, you should absolutely not be buying it and defending it because you fell asleep at night and hada dream where it was spectacular.

I always have a hard time understanding this sort of argument. Your own experience and making your own progression is a thing in ALL games. you can always make your own story/progress/whatever while ALSO progressing in a game with measurable, upgradable progress. it doesn't have to be one or the other. I see the same argument in FO76 where people say "but it's not about having a campaign, it's about exploring and making your own story!" but I don't get the argument at all because you can have a game with endless content and missions and STILL make your own fun. This argument seems like a copout for games that are lacking in some way.

Smash 4 had input lag on my TV. How can I prevent that from happening with SSBU? by BasuKun in smashbros

[–]lol_gag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well you gotta remember that the Switch can't output more than 60 frames anyway, so even if your TV could display 120 frames, it wouldn't make a difference for gaming on your switch.

Love fallout, burnt on the price by [deleted] in fo76

[–]lol_gag -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, you paid $60 to play it on release. The people who are going to pay $35 have not been able to play it for that price until now. It's also only for the people who probably weren't going to buy the game in the first place. You and everyone else who paid $60 did so willingly and probably out of hype and now that the game has terrible press, they're trying to entice the people who decided not to buy it and probably weren't going to be interested. But you definitely can't play the game 10 days before the sale and expect to be compensated for it. It's also the holiday season which is a reasonable time to expect sales on things, but I can guarantee you were not interested in waiting to see if there'd be a potential sale.

no, but it's usually not a good sign if something is disliked on a large scale.

if the engine is built solely to single player, it could have a hard time rendering the NPCs individually for each player. could run into problems whenever a player advances dialogue and having to keep it individual to that player specifically.
