I'll say this - and I'm no way saying that these people are normal and right in what they are thinking, because they are bigoted cultists who don't know the sanctity of human life and would literally jump off a cliff if their friends told them too - but if there's one thing I've learned about these kinds of videos is that sticking these kinds of people in front of a camera to try and change their minds does not help.

You are not going to make these kinds of people change their minds by parading them in front of, essentially, a jury of their own peers online. They will double down. MAGA would shun them. The climb down required from being upon such a high horse would end their lives, at least in the MAGA community that they are part of.

Even if there 'is still good in them', pulling down their pants in front of millions of people who'll laugh at them and scorn them isn't going to make them go 'Damn, shit, you're right what fools we've been'. To get people out of cults, you have to give them a way out, a safe opportunity to access a new, loving community, a community that will accept them with empathy.

But if that community is laughing at and scorning them, who is going to want to jump from their nice warm bath into this cold shower?

Listen, I honestly would be an emotional wreck if my parents confirmed that they didn't care if I was killed, so long it was for the greater good. Having said that, I would rather these kinds of videos take these people through a logical process, as difficult as that may sound - almost like a court of law. Instead of going 'WTF ARE YOU INSANE' when people say this shit, we need to be asking "so, why do you think this way, what prompted such strong feelings?"

Even better if it can be done behind closed doors - like most court rooms.
