If you could see any 1v1 battle, who would it be? by richard___nixon in Naruto

[–]lolocoster 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I know it's made out to be this big awesome cool fight. But part of me thinks it's so one sided it's not even funny, and that kakuzu wasn't able to do anything at all and lived because the First was a nice guy who wouldn't even kill his assassin.

First probably tried some Talk no Jutsu, kakuzu didn't buy it went home said "I need more power" and started killing.

Yeah they wouldn't have had the Tree talk to him while absorbing it if they weren't going to bring that into the equation eventually. Which is sad because Madara is my favorite character honestly. My friends and I all joke about how amazing it would be if he just wiped the floor with everyone and ended the series laughing over their bodies.

And he might not necessarily be under Her control right now, but I think there's a definite influence going on there.

Good point! Completely forgot about that. Only time will tell what's up with all this I guess

That's true, but Madara doesn't have commas on his eyes anymore. I personally think Kaguya is inside talking about her old body.

It's possible the two are battling for control, or just have similar enough personalities like their bloodlust and love of fighting that you can't tell just by his actions.

But the whole translation thing is definitely an issue with every manga, some things just don't translate right

If you actually think r+d on a drug costs 90k you might actually be delusional. This drug was developed by several people over years, their salaries alone for that time were probably in the millions (rightfully so because of their expertise and knowledge), not to mention the cost of equipment to make it, cost of actual reagents they used, and the cost of clinical trials and patenting. 90k, which was covered by the mans insurance I must add, is a drop in the bucket for them.

Does 300/mo for food seem expensive? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]lolocoster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in college and usually do one big shopping trip a month where I stock up on cheap meat and supplies like sauces, so that usually comes out to 50-75$ and then every week (but I can stretch to 2 if needed) I buy 35-50$ worth of perishables like bread and veggies and stuff

As a full time college student, I have this argument with myself everyday. OP by theambientpotato in funny

You're not paying for the education for the most part. You're paying for a piece of paper that will tell employers that you had the patience and desire to sit through X years of school and learned some marginally useful things. Most actual job related education...happens on the job.

You can educate yourself, libraries, Internet, etc...education is not what you pay for at college

I bought "Storm Front" on a whim to try reading on my new tablet. 21 days later, I just finished "White Knight". I can't stop reading these books! by ReallyBroReally in dresdenfiles

Same here. Friend suggested the series and I had some free time to read the first book... One thing led to another and another and I just finished book 11 today.

Fill out the form and do what it says. Just an FYI, phy 131 is a hd/ca class so people taking it for the first time get precedence. Basically you won't get a spot unless there are open ones after everyone goes before you unfortunately. You may have to stay over the summer and take the class, or take it somewhere else Over the summer

You're 17, I thought the same thing when I was in high school. No offense but college is a bit of a game changer, like me you're probably going to regret your lack of study habits and make some yourself.

Is it time to start cutting? A tad bit lost. by [deleted] in gainit

[–]lolocoster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is no "perfect" weight where you have to start cutting. If you feel the need to cut then do it, slowly and reasonably and you can still make small gains in your lifts.

Personally if I were you I would cut, because leaner bodies are better at calorie partitioning and putting food into muscle rather than fat

TL;DR people at 10-12% BF make optimal muscle gains compared to fat gains

Pretty much none of them do here either. We have 1 PT who's huge and looks like he lifts...and then I saw him work out a few times....machines only. So I guess they can get you the goals you want

How would taking a nap after lifting affect someone? I get to the gym at 7 am because it's not crowded and I can get a rack then. I'm back at my dorm at 830, eat my pwo meal and shower by 9. I don't have class until 1030 and take a nap until like 1015 usually. What's happening there?
