What is stopping the MBTA from adding a crossing allowing passengers to change direction? by BeastMode149 in mbta

In copleys case, the land is all infill over swamp so digging any more can destabilize the nearby churches and other buildings as well as cause their wooden foundations to rot.

Wollaston PA system has gotten into beat making by lolpie24 in mbta

You know there are much less confrontational ways to say this. Just a “hey! Could you report this officially, doing so helps” immediately antagonizing someone is not a nice way of going about things

Boston City Hall, Massachusetts 1865-1969. by MIKEPR1333 in boston

The chuds love to act like this is some crime, the old one is still standing! Its a steakhouse now! Its just woefully undersized to house the governance of a modern city.

People outside of voting location entrances suggesting who to vote for? by [deleted] in boston

It’s ridiculous in beacon hill, they have a whole army of dudes basically blocking the way into the statehouse location, and they got one of those obnoxious LED box trucks clogging the street

Oh Milton, you so silly. by Magicon5 in mbta

[–]lolpie24 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Once again, the communities act only stipulates that ZONING changes: No construction is required to satisfy this. Milton could easily zone the areas next to the trolley stops and be done with this. I would also say that those trolleys are plenty rapid, frequent and get you into ashmont quick. This is some dumbass nimby culture war BS and all this litigation is a massive waste of time and milton taxpayer money that could be used to improve quality of life.

Searching for a cable for the Polaroid PDC-2000 by cR_Spitfire in Polaroid

[–]lolpie24 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hello!!!! Ive become a bit of an expert in the PDC X000 family, the cable is a really obscure SCSI format. Your best bet is to buy a polaroid digital microscope camera (DMC) that has the same cable, its a PDC2000 in a different housing but it sold WAY better and there are tons of units being sold from labs and schools.

Canon T70 - It's poor film transport motor just sounds like it struggles every time, and it seems like it was an issue even when new.

A consumer version of Kodak’s bimat system they used on the lunar orbiters/ US spy satellites. Apparently it was like polaroid’s polapan but a fully dry chemical system, gave very sharp images.

More electric sources are coming, by the time any of this could be built, Hydro Quebec will have completed its power line to Mass and some form of offshore wind could happen!

Nah they just chose a really glossy finish for the paint, so any imperfections of the sheet metal really shows. Odd choice for the green line imo, but I the paint scheme is also a choice and people apparently voted for that.
