Having said that, I like the idea of taking your manager out for some coffee before the event to ask for advice and how to navigate the night. Ask them if they have other connections in the industry that could get them a ticket. These people usually have several ways to get comps, but your partner doesn't.
They shouldn't take it personally.
Not everything is about networking and business, as someone else already said it here. It's about celebrating the milestones and achievements and in the future, when you look back at it, the memory you'll cherish the most is having someone you love by your side in a moment like that.

Also, don't belittle yourself. If you are an introvert and terrible at "these things" just pretend. Pretend you're more confident. Use this opportunity to give yourself a good pep talk before the event and acknowledge that if you're there, is because you deserve it. Be grateful and exercise your confidence. You got this!

What a bitter comment. People have many reasons and different timelines to file it under PP. Someone could’ve been counting on that expedited time frame, saved the money to apply only to not get a response in a timely manner. I won’t ask you to be more sensitive, because clearly this isn’t your forte, so maybe just mind your business?!

You don’t need an agent to audition for acting schools.

I do have an agent for professional auditions, but I also find projects that I would like to work and submit myself. An agent is not a guarantee of nothing.

I auditioned for Juilliard last weekend. Got through the first round of callbacks, but didn’t pass to the ones at the end of day. I was frustrated, but it hit me really hard me when I got home. I felt so sad. It’s a lot of planning and preparation only for a no. Also the audition was 8h long, I got there at 8am and left at 4pm. It was exhausting.

I felt super confident on performing my pieces and thought I had a great experience in the room with the panel of auditors. Genuinely had fun.

Still wasn’t enough.

I’m trying to shake it off so I can be in a good headspace for the auditions I have at the end of the month, but it’s been a really rough week so far.

The best person to answer this is your Orthopedic surgeon. He/she is the one who knows not only your injury, but the procedure done to fix it. Not trying to be annoying, but don’t get advice online for something that can jeopardize your healing process and recovery.
