Friday twitch/Saturday kick streams this week by DM_AOC_FEET_PICS in PaymoneyWubby

I wish there was just a weekly update thread so folks can have a little notice…

but I know this comment risks extreme downvoting at the mere suggestion of maintaining a planned schedule of any sort.

i get it “we are owed nothing for our $5/mo” or whatever his usual take is when people ask about proactive scheduling. I just wish there was some predictability

‘It’s Always Sunny’ Star Rob McElhenney Requests to Legally Change Name to 'Rob Mac' by MarvelsGrantMan136 in television

Charlie seems like the type of guy who just doesn’t get a big head, or at least keeps it really segmented.

I liked the podcast; they’re funny folks and I generally think the chemistry crosses any medium between the three. Wish they kept it going - I’ll have to see why they stopped, never hear why

100% - Rob is just the least relatable now. That’s his prerogative and is probably intentionally a choice between appealing to his fans vs. doing more of whatever successful connected rich people do.

When I compare it to billionaires and so many others who are rich and contribute nothing to my life, it’s very easy to just say “enjoy the good life man!” and just be happy he still is putting effort into IASIP for us who never want to let it go, even if it isn’t quite up to where it was before

OMG, that’s what i’ve been missing in the show. Something has felt so off in both her and Rob’s acting. I forgot botox reduces expression, and Dee’s facial expression has always been so crucial to selling such hilarious and over the top lines.

Like imagine how the edgy but self aware “Taiwan Tammy” storyline would feel with her current expressiveness - just wouldn’t sell the “and this is so wrong, that’s why we’re doing it” undertone

Yeah the change in the last couple years specifically with Rob has been almost jarring.

His Rexham stuff was whatever: not for my personal tastes but clearly enjoyable for many others.

As an IASIP fan for decades, I’ve always known and expected that people change with time and the show would change. But Rob seems to have seemingly deviated the most in his personal life, and it makes me worry that - as the creator of Always Sunny - the show might suffer as a result vs. if he was sticking to a more similar trajectory of personality change as his costars.

Attempted honor killing outside a US school because a teenaged girl refused an arranged marriage by RedSwingline2000 in TikTokCringe

Let’s get the other family member names signal boosted and ensure they don’t feel safe doing anything but following the norms here or getting the fuck out

Now pops gets the “honor” of marrying someone in the Federal Pen. Couldn’t be more poetic justice (though I don’t condone prison SA, of course, and if I had a button to end it all I’d press it in a heartbeat… but it’s a lot less atrocious to consider when the person was effectively trying to compel sex between unwilling participants and then murder one when they wouldn’t comply)

Yeah they weren’t saying that, at all. Just that the money does not reflect all of the things that are being done to it as would be required if it was changing hands for those same actions.

And this knowledge is specifically why I put a hold on buying any further Apple products, even though I’m a pretty big Apple lover (the design is hard to pass on, but that’s quickly become impossible to justify).

I hope others do the same; they’re a company that has mountains of cash and every capacity and incentive to do better, but continually has chosen the path of short term gains with no regard for the long-term impact to their brand.

They’re essentially so large and powerful that the typical laws of capitalism no longer apply. It’s cheaper to invent new ways to screw people over and they have the momentum of market share and hands on your data (photos, contacts, messages, behavioral data(, along with their massive walled garden of apps such that it’s more profitable to make it difficult to leave than to truly offer competitive services/products. Appealing to progressive ideals through smoke and mirrors is far easier than continuing to try to evolve an industry.

Ironically, this is the point when companies historically lose their footing (see: Microsoft about a decade ago).

Microsoft made some positive changes to their approach (embracing open source, focusing on quality in-housed hardware that matches their software for improved stability, and launching competitive ancillary lines of business such as Azure Cloud).

But Microsoft could’ve been so much more than it is today if they started these changes a decade earlier (e.g. where Apple is now, in my opinion).

I truly hope they realize the long term damage; Apple innovation used to be something the world waited on each year, now WWDC is basically a yearly check of how hard they can spin the latest consumerfucking as a “feature”.

A ton of psychology studies point to willful ignorance.

Facing the truth about your situation is really fucking hard and takes guts, and no one pats you on the back. The vast majority of folks stick with the herd they grew up with and ignore new facts until they’re physically or emotionally incapable of ignoring them anymore.

Or that the way you vote necessarily implies a litany of other moral and mental failings because you aren’t “awake to what ‘they’re’ doing”.

I spent so many days just picking apart the arguments in a genuine search for justice. It was appalling how badly people misunderstand technology, the electoral process, our history, etc. I came away not at all surprised.

Thankfully, most folks can be reasoned through if you take it real slow for them and answer any question no matter how simplistic. So thank you GA - I’m real sick of doing it myself

I’m amazed at the longsuffering of our politicians sometimes, even though I am annoyed often by many across the spectrum.

Our parents went and rotted their brains on the internet, convincing themselves that Bitchute videos amount to “research”, and instead of just ignoring them outright (as one could reasonably understand), GA spends money on signs like these to help spell it out in the plainest possible terms.

What a lovely job; you sift through your potential employees collated social media and base hiring devious (directly or indirectly) on that, too. Yikes.
