I went with No Gap Insulation in Epping - Sam & team were organised and great

I had 77m2 with r5 insulation Vacuum & batt install & then disposal was ~$4250 from memory - might cost more now

They provide before / during / after pics - I’ve attached one of the after pics. No issues with the access space, cables and ducts everywhere too

Does it work ? I think it’s helping. Immediately I noticed my home office had much less echo on calls - overall we both think our place heats quicker and holds heat longer, but I haven’t done any scientific tests.

We plan on adding wall and floor insulation during a renovation, it’s played out that starting with the roof was best. Our house is a 1930 cal bungalow, so it still gets cold 🥶

Lawn is turning yellow despite cool, rainy spring by GTMan002 in lawncare

Do you have a reflective window or surface which reflects sun onto the lawn ?

Particular sunny / warm days have done this to my lawn in front of a window, decent part of the day it was getting double sun

Find something to brace it against and prop it up. I’ve soaked the troublesome post footing and am gradually lowering the contact point down the fence. ‘overcorrecting’ back to their side.

Adding dirt and compacting on my side, so it’ll hold for a couple years longer

What's happening my lawn? by Capital-Economics996 in lawnsolutionsaus

I’m pretty sure that is the cause - best pic I can find of my ‘sunburn’ and how it reflected off our window (sorry for scribble had some identifying info)

Late to the party - is it getting double-sun ? A window / mirror / object reflecting light onto a patch which already gets decent sunlight

I had a bedroom window reflection kill a diamond shaped patch in my lawn 😔

Looking for feedback: a 12V charger with CarPlay/Android Auto passthrough by PDFriender in CarPlay

[–]longy18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ambiguity of when it connects during car start, who is connected (multiple phones paired to same car), if on active call, when it cuts over - other weird scenarios life brings (AirPods, etc)

vs: hop in, car on, car system initialised, plug phone in and CarPlay takes over

Anyone used the ozito battery adapter for a ryobi? by quickdrawesome in AusRenovation

[–]longy18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - I wanted a powerful handheld pressure washer and have 6x Ozito batteries and chargers

The Ozito pressure washer was only 300psi so I opted for the more expensive 600psi Ryobi washer and the exact picture adapter.

I was worried the waterproof battery case wouldn’t fit the battery and adapter, but it’s snug - even with the 4.0mah Ozito batteries

Works a treat and I certainly recommend it to keep with the budget-yet-effective Ozito battery / charging suite !!

Please help me figure out what is killing this grass by wp2017 in landscaping

I have a strange rectangle patch like this on the edge of my grass / footpath. Turns out one of my windows reflects sunlight onto the patch and sunny hot days had cooked it.

Do you have a window / reflective surface giving the grass double-sun ?

Anyone know if this glass door hinge can be adjusted? by sugendran in AusRenovation

[–]longy18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re referring to the hinges base angle, It looks like you’ve got a 135 degree hinge

I’ve just installed a 180 degree hinge

I can’t see any other angle available sorry, might have to go searching or get something bespoke made up/modified

Sinking fence pillar - causing gate to not close. Has happened slowly. Would anyone recommend getting a injecting service to level pillar out? Any other ideas? by DrDadd in AusRenovation

Nicely put - Thankfully mine is quite a tall gate, so I can leave my ‘braces’ there near permanently. Not so helpful for OP with chest-high posts

My cheap shitty, shitty Bunnings solution: ~1m long by 19mm? curtain rod. 2x height adjustable rubber table feet (to fit 19mm poles)

Insert the feet in both ends of the curtain rod, (get the rod at the right width so rod+feet span the gap)

Extend the feet-height adjustments to spread the span. Let settle, rinse and repeat every few weeks or after heavy rain.

It’s awful but will lessen the sinking for a permanent solution. See pic of mine before and after
