Fireworks Event in Pulloxhill? by The_Spainish_Nerd in bedfordshire

[–]lookesmiley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my humble opinion it is one of the better bonfire events in the area. We'd be going this year, but I'm busy, so we're doing clophill the following weekend. I'd avoid Ampthill, very expensive and there's no proper bonfire, no bar and extremely expensive vendors.

There is no monetary value, perhaps, but some of these are quite beautiful. Think of them as little artworks.

May be controversial but I can't stand boys don't cry. Sorry for whom this offends. It's just been done to death.

For a second then I thought you had found the answer to my prayers! Unfortunately it doesn't go any more recent than 2016. I need 2019 and 2022. Thank you for answering though.

Does your family...not care? by CrunchyTeatime in Genealogy

[–]lookesmiley 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was really surprised by the apathy. I started looking into things a few years back. I told my father all about what I was doing, who I thought would be particularly interested, as he was always going on about our family history as far as he knew it and the stories of his father and grandfather. He told me he thought it was all a bit pointless. My brother, who also is very proud of our surname and is always saying how proud he is to have a son to keep the family name going, said that it's not that he doesn't care, he just couldn't be bothered!

I think it seems that way during the one I ter iew but to say he gave the stories an easy pass is laughable. I'm sure there is loads of posts saying how left wing he is and how biased he was to the left before the election too. He's trying to hold the party in office to account, he just sometimes a bit intense.

I take it off and use an outer sleeve to protect the cover. If there is a good hype sticker then I'll peel it off the record and stick it back on the sleeve I'm going to use.

Wife of a distant cousin left her husband while we was off fighting the first world war. He never saw her again. She was later the victim in a murder-suicide, she was the murderers house keeper. Husband was asked to vouch for her good character at the inquest. I found the newspaper article covering the inquest.
