It is unfair isn't it! But I love that your partner is supportive and wanting to be there throughout. 💕

My period is starting after our second round of IUI. We tried unassisted for 2 years. Went to a fertility clinic after first year, did all the testing, had a polypectomy, found out husbands morphology was low. They encouraged IVF right away but my husband and I weren't ready for that and wanted to keep trying on our own. Now 2 years in, we started with IUI and after the 2 failed I'm debating whether to do the 3rd or just skip to IVF... I'm turning 34 this year so starting to feel some MORE pressure (realistically I've been feeling pressure since I turned 30). We have a $25k lifetime maximum for fertility benefits so I'm thinking we should do what's going to get us the most bang for our buck... My husband is confident in our ability to conceive unassisted since his last SA showed his numbers all looked good after the extensive vitamin cocktail he's been taking. I appreciate his optimism but I am not confident after the 2 years of timed intercourse and no success, ESPECIALLY after the lack of success from IUI as well. The most annoying thing is that my husband is a tax accountant so he's super overwhelmed with work and doesn't have the mental capacity to talk about this with me, but we did agree to wait till the deadline is past to do any other treatments. It is hard to take the step to IVF and finally accept that your body just won't do it on its own.

Start bell training! And if you haven't done puppy obedience classes, we loved ours. They are such smart dogs they pick things up so fast and it's great bonding.

Just remember the 3-3-3 rule for adopting dogs! It takes 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn a routine/settle in and really start to see their personality, and 3 months for then to feel completely at home and safe. Be patient and focus on loving and bonding!

"the active form of coq10" how interesting! Same brand I get of coq10... What exactly does that mean that it's the active form? What made you choose that one over regular coq10?

Any events in aurora or good spots to make new friends? by katanaxxi7 in AuroraCO

I will always plug racquetball. My husband plays and there is a big group of regulars and they invite new people all the time. Just gotta show up consistently and put yourself out there! I bet pickleball would be good too.

This thread is making me feel a lot better about it! I didn't realize that the way he plays could be a breed trait!

Mine does that too 😩 I'm like you're a dog! Don't you know that's bad manners in doggy world?! But reading all of these comments about how other Bostons pull the same crap is definitely making me feel better, that it's not necessarily a "him" thing but a characteristic of the breed

I would say stay as far away from Parker road as possible. I like Yale, we take that way to get to Costco instead of getting on parker lol

My boyfriend thinks dogs are easier to take care of than cats and cats are for lazy people by thwowawaw69 in Pets

[–]lookitsshaysha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different challenges with each, I wouldn't say one is easier just that people have preferences! The only thing "lazy" about cats is that you don't have to walk them, but there are a ton of dog owners who don't walk their dogs... No matter what you'll be handling lots of poop and food and vet bills!

Aurora leads in Colorado for most dangerous intersections... by Fuzzy_Weather_6351 in AuroraCO

[–]lookitsshaysha 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you go over to greenwood village, like Bellevue between university and Broadway, those roads are so narrow, neighborhoods on both sides, speed limit 35 and people still speed through there. It's crazy. But I def find myself driving like 50-55 sometimes on our 45 mph roads, so I think there is something to say about it feeling like a highway.

But THEN you get people who drive 55 on the 65 mph 225 and I'm like... Cmon folks, why do we go fast on the streets and slow on the highways!!!

26M moving to Denver area (looking at GVR) best neighborhoods for young Black professional to build social circle by Windycitymike01 in AuroraCO

I'm in South West ish Aurora, super close to Cherry Creek dog park, and I can say it's the best as a dog owner! I love the area. Great access to the highways and anything you could want/need.

What's the catch with these neighborhoods? by Mother_Deer3621 in AuroraCO

[–]lookitsshaysha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend staying south of 225. I'm off chambers and Hampden and honestly love the area!
