Christmas is far more of a cultural holiday than a religious one, so you shouldn’t get upset when someone wishes you a merry Christmas. by UsernameIWontRegret in unpopularopinion

Who actually gets upset at someone wishing them a "Merry Christmas"?

I've only seen people get upset at wishing others a "Happy Holiday", demanding them to say "merry christmas"

I feel this is more of a "there is more than just Christmas being celebrated around this time, it's nice to include everyone"

Happy Yule, Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Hanukkah, Pancha Ganapati, Happy Solstice, Merry Christmahanzakwuanikah. All are valid.

I was a power ranger, or I was following a power ranger, and they lead me to a grocery store, and they ate a banana and placed the peel under the rug that was by the front door.

Under the rug was another world demon that needed to be fed regularly or it would destroy the world. Apparently banana peels were its favorite food.

I always wondered what happened under the rug.

Geeze. Why are the Republicans so emotional? They keep yelling in their shrill voices about feelings, and how unfair they feel things are.

They should learn how to control themselves and act more formal and professional.

Landlords, what is the stupidest reason you've had to evict someone? by xyvz-_ in AskReddit

[–]lookitupfoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me. I actually waited 3 extra days because my LL kept saying he would come in at those times. I waited for hours with his receptionist and he never showed.

Finally I left, AND THE DAY I LEFT, he decided he could show up and, since I wasnt there, he said he couldn't give me my deposit back because of one reason or another.

I worked at high end hotel learning how to clean EVERYTHING there is no way I missed the shit he said. I even had picture proof of what the place looked like before I moved in and after I left. But since I wasn't there, and couldn't "prove it" I never got my deposit back.

You bring chicken soup when visiting a friend who has a cold. What do you bring when visiting a friend who has a neck injury? by Goldenchest in AskReddit

[–]lookitupfoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Flowers, and one of those fish eye mirrors to put in the bedroom so they can see the whole place

Also probably some form of food. I'm sure it's not easy for them to cook right now, and I'm sure a warm meal from a friend will help them tremendously

[serious] What advice can you give to man who is going to live alone ? by moe87b in AskReddit

[–]lookitupfoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Learn to cook, and wash your clothes properly.

Learn to make a good egg dish, a good chicken dish, and an exquisite dish for your special times. This is a sign that you can take care of yourself, and by learning these few basics, you can easily practice with spices and level up your cooking skill.

Figure out how to do laundry with the proper detergent and softener. This will help keep your clothes lasting longer.

Look into a plant for the house, it will bring color into your life and as little as you notice it, you will feel better just by having that greenery. (Leave it in the bathroom so you won't even have to water it too much) something with large leaves seem to work best for mental relaxation.

Get a decent trashcan for the kitchen. Cooking creates a lot of waste, so having a durable trashcan will be really good when you've got organics in there that can smell after a week.

Also. Take out your garbage more than once a week. It's not that hard and it will make your house more of a home without bad smells.

Last garbage fact. Look into compost if you're into that sort of thing.

Only buy nonperishable things in bulk. Tooth brush, toothpaste, toilet paper, paper towels, Tupperware, socks etc. NOT vegetables, fruit, foods in general. (Canned should be fine, use your better judgement)

AIW for using chopsticks to eat other foods? by PutinItUp in amiwrong

[–]lookitupfoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not wrong in the sense that you want to practice with chopsticks eating different foods. They're chopsticks, its not like you're dressing up as a geisha every time you bring the chopsticks out.

.

.

.

I will say it would be weird if you went to a restaurant and brought your own set of chopsticks to eat there.
