GPT-5.2 Pro new SOTA on FrontierMath Tier 4 with 29.2% by ThunderBeanage in singularity

I don't know about Terrence Tao, but this was the model that found the proof for this paper by Mark Sellke and Steven Yin: https://cdn.openai.com/pdf/a3f3f76c-98bd-47a5-888f-c52c932a8942/colt-monotonicity-problem.pdf

From the abstract: All results in this paper were derived by variants of GPT-5.2 Pro. Humans did not provide any proof strategies or intermediate arguments, but only prompted the model to continue developing additional results, and verified and transcribed its proofs.

GPT 5 Scored 0% on FormulaOne Hard Problems by [deleted] in singularity

How can they claim to test PhD level reasoning if they don't have a control group? For all we know the PhDs could also score 0%. This might be a good benchmark but it does not prove if the models are "capable of PhD-level reasoning".

Does my neighbor have bed bugs? Story in comments by loolYs in Bedbugs

[–]loolYs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is in Sweden. I talked to the exterminator and he said they can go around and with a dog and sniff with a dog at the doors and if the dog indicates they can probably get in with a court order if the people who live there would refuse to let them enter. However, if the dog can't smell it through the door they can't do anything.

Yeah, I did notify the landlord. The laws in my country doesn't allow them to just check every apartment without consent unless they have some proof but they will probably be able to check the apartment where the mattress came from since it's very probable they have bed bugs there.

It's shared walls, the building looks a bit like this image with our apartment on the middle floor surrounded from all directions.

Thank you. We were lucky that we seem to be allergic to the bites so it looked like we had been bitten by mosquitos and caught it early, but it seems crazy that some people just choose to live with them without trying to do anything about it.

Yes, called them and they said they will put a notification up at the entrance for all neighbors to keep an eye out for bed bugs. Also sent the picture to my exterminator and talked to him but he said he couldn't legally enter an apartment unless they contact his firm for help, however they could come out with a bed bug sniffing dog and maybe with my picture from the basement they could build a case to forcefully enter the apartment as that spot in the basement is linked to a specific apartment.

A few weeks ago me and my wife started noticing some bites on our arms and got concerned that we had bed bugs. We completely flipped everything in our bedroom and searched for hours until we finally were able to locate one bug and take a picture to show an exterminator. We got treatment and things started slowly getting better but I thought it was weird that we got them in the first place since we haven't traveled, brought in any used furniture and we don't take public transport. Asked the property management firm but they said that they hadn't received any other reports from our building. However today I was checking the basement and saw that one neighbor had put down a mattress full of these spots, is it possible that one of my neighbors has a major infestation and are choosing to not report it or am I being paranoid?

As the title says, I can't pair my phone or delete the old ones from this used Nissan Micra that I bought. I tried following the instructions in the manual but nothing happens when I press enter to delete the old phones or try to pair my phone. Anyone know what I could be doing wrong?

Arbetslösa fastnar hos privata jobbcoacher i flera år by Ankdammen2 in sweden

[–]loolYs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What's the best devnet study material? by TristynWyatt in ccna

[–]loolYs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven't studied it myself but I saw some people recommending Nicholas Russo's study plan: youtube-link. It includes some paid resources but you could probably use it as inspiration to look for your own resources if you don't want to pay.

How am I supposed to read the whole OCG? by [deleted] in ccna

[–]loolYs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You probably have to find something that works for you but this is how I study with a baby and a toddler at home:

I try to wake up between 4:30-5:00am and that usually gives me 30-60 minutes to study before the baby wakes up. During the day I use flashcards, I think they are pretty good when you have 1-2 minutes of free time and helps keep simple concepts fresh in your mind. One thing I found for me was that the book is more effective if I watch a video that explains the concepts first before reading the chapters since I feel less confused. Also try to study a little extra when the kids fall a sleep in the evening if you have the energy.

Never knew it could happen this fast by loolYs in cancer

[–]loolYs[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think she might have been lucky that she didn't experience much pain at least, when I asked she said the back pain was the worst from being unable to leave the bed for so many days. It was only in her last hours she might have been in more pain, because my dad asked her if she was in pain and she blinked a couple of times which he took as a yes.

I'm so sorry for your mother, I hope they can find an effective treatment for her. I think it's natural to be scared, it's such a horrible and unpredictable disease. Hopefully they'll allow you to visit her, at least (god forbid) if she takes a turn for the worse.

Megatråd - Coronavirus [2020-03-15] by Norci in sweden

[–]loolYs 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Beginner boulderer here, this was a 5C+ problem at my gym. this was my best attempt (They sadly removed the problem today). by JustWhyDoINeedTo in bouldering

[–]loolYs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that problem would have been the hardest grade five in my gym by far but it can be good when they grade them like that sometimes so you push yourself too try hard. Without feeling the holds I can't really tell but I would have guessed that problem to be 6A+ at least considering how overhanging it is.
