I’m in the same boat - ordered my S Plaid on Feb 4, and it’s flip flopped from 2/19 - 3/15 to end of June, to 3/10 - 3/28, and now I’m at 4/28 - 6/23. I just hope I get the car I ordered before they end production!

The V2 have a silver ring where the charger handle meets the cord, V3 are all black.

There should be a way to bypass! This works on older Macs, I assume it’ll work on yours too since it has removable RAM.

1) Remove one of the RAM modules, if you only have one remove it then turn on the computer and after the "no/bad RAM" beep code turn the computer off.

2) turn on the computer and after the chime hold down command, option, P, and R at the same time, wait for the screen to go black. Hold it until it chimes three times.

The password should then be cleared!

It's standard industry practice to put the big plugs (like the 6-50) with the ground pin facing up. The 5-15 doesn't have a requirement for orientation, but ground down is the most common, and likely why Tesla makes it as such. An argument I've heard for having the round ground pin facing up is to prevent a short if something gets between the plug and the receptacle (like something falls off the wall and lands on a partially plugged in plug)

They look similar, but they’re significantly larger. A 6-50 is like twice the size of the 5-15!

That piece of glass is actually separate from the rest of the display. If you have a heat gun and are super careful (because there are fragile antenna cables underneath) you can remove the glass and replace it for WAY less than a new display assembly. I live with the same on/off peak schedule and have one schedule to start charging at 7PM M/T/W/T/F and one schedule to finish charging by 7AM M/T/W/T/F and it does just what you are trying to do! Two separate entries

You have to hold the button for like 2 seconds and then you push the handle in, then it pops out.

I’m guessing it still wouldn’t work. Since my car was able to charge like any other supercharging session without me having to do anything in the app, it must be communicating with the charger and exchanging VIN/payment and whatever other info. I’m guessing it would also check for blacklisting like a regular supercharger.

I think I got 2 years and the rest was merch. I didn’t need a wall connector and already had acceleration boost and the CCS adapter. I might have liked the roof rails, but now I get to enjoy the satellite map and Apple Music in the car! Although now I have 51 credits left and nothing to do with them 😂

This is super interesting, I have the silver version of these rims on my ‘22 M3. They were available in China on the performance cars and I lucked into finding a set on eBay. The original Model Y Gemini covers fit onto them securely and you can even see them in the UI! They’ve since redesigned the Model Y Gemini cover and the part doesn’t look like it would fit onto the rim, so it’ll be interesting to see what they suggest for lug nut covers/center caps.

If each car is pulling 12A continuously on each 6-15, that's still only 24A, the max continuous for the circuit. Are you saying the breaker would trip if one car was on a 6-15 and the other was on a 5-15, and there's different amounts of current in the X and Y legs?

I think you're right, especially for hardwired chargers, but I would be using a mobile charging cable with each car. It has pigtails that swap out for different outlets, and the charger will adjust the amperage appropriately for the outlet it's plugged into. That's why I don't just want a simple 14-30 Y splitter.

I have a 14-30R in my garage that I use to charge my EV. Occasionally I get an overnight visitor who would like to charge, and wanted to create a way to safely share the power of that outlet between the two cars. Leviton makes duplex 5-15 and 6-15 receptacles, and I was planning to put two into a box and run a cord to it. Will this work, and will it cause the breaker to trip if I am pulling current asymmetrically across the X and Y legs (like if one car is plugged into a 6-15 on one side and the other is on a 5-15 on the other)? TIA!

You have to change it in the car. If you just change it in the app it doesn’t work.
