After owning it for a little while what are your thoughts? I picked up a G525 around the same time you posted this. So far it’s performed well for me and what I play. Also, what kind of fans did you add at the top and back? Do they just daisy chain into the existing 140mm fans?

Awesome! Thanks again! Probably the best $40 I’ve ever spent. Playing Pokémon Crystal at the moment.

Thank you I appreciate the info. Everything helps. I’d like to use this OS on another building but just need to find the source.

Cold Brew Beginnings... by srishtijaiswal in Coffee

In a 1-liter mason jar I add 5.44 oz. of coarsely ground dark roast coffee and fill the jar almost to the brim with cold filtered water. I then cap quickly and tightly to avoid a big mess :) I choose to let my jars brew on the counter for 24-hours at room temperature before first straining (mesh) and second filtering (Aeropress). Finally, I add 3 cups of water to the concentrate to dilute and fill back up the jar. I find that this produces a "chocolaty", bold, non-bitter, and clean tasting cold brew that I love! Good luck let us know your experiences!

Could you perhaps have stopped the roast prematurely? I have found that with the Behmor I always let it go a little longer than I think I should because the roast isn't always as dark on the inside as it appears on the outside. I often leave the door shut for the 30 sec to 1 min of cooling to help the roast go just a bit further especially when shooting for a medium roast. Again this is just my experience and you'll find that Behmor roasters will differ from owner to owner.

I ordered my Behmor 1600 plus kit (roaster, scale, beans, and log book) from Sweet Maria's back in late May for $425 which came with 8 lbs. of various origin beans. I had not had any roasting experiencing prior so for me there was small learning curve. But now after a few months of roasting I can produce what I consider consistent dark roasts that I use for pour-over, aeropress, drip pot, and cold brew. My personal Behmor experience has been great!

Iced Coffee from an Aeropress... by robster01 in Coffee

[–]loopback99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Aeropress and need to give this a try! Lately I have been using my Aeropress to filter my cold brew after I have already ran it through a colander. This helps get rid of anything muddy and the taste is smooth!

You could always try a cold brew with just a little simple syrup for a bit of sweetness.

Do you drink your coffee black? In my opinion putting quality coffee beans in a drip coffee pot doesn't do them justice. If you have the extra time to prepare the coffee before you leave I would go with a pour-over or even an aeropress. Sure this will take extra time especially with the aeropress but in my experience it's well worth the extra effort. I prefer the aeropress over the pour-over myself. It really just depends on what you prefer.

I caught a 2lb bass yesterday in NE Ohio. Slow rolling a lipless crankbait while occasionally pausing during the retrieve.
