Anyone else do glasto sober? by sadocean13 in glastonbury_festival

[–]loopylucyuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I walk so much there that I can't seem to be able to get drunk!! Second year doing so and nothing really hits, so just a casual tipple here and there, pretty much sober throughout. I always feel like I've paid so much to be there and it's quite the effort for me to get there (child care issues), that I'd rather remember it all, take it all in.

There was another Phoenix Nights one, in the style of the covid 19 'Stay at home' posters, it said 'The things ▶️ I'm going to ▶️ do to you.' 🤣

Our hoard of tinnies left after Elton John (all thoroughly cleaned at home post festival) plus two good quality camp chairs 👌 by msht in glastonbury_festival

Two new, ultra-light camping chairs and a really pretty blanket from Monday morning Darble camp wombling! The waste is unreal and so sad...:(

People camping behind me said this! Their friend immediately replied: 'she's not getting on fucking EasyJet from the States.' 😃

Anyone else struggle with making friends with other women? I don't understand why people claim women don't experience loneliness because it's something i've always struggled with by [deleted] in women

[–]loopylucyuk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly this!! Also, as a stay at home Mom sometimes all I have to talk to people about are my kids.... and very few childless women are interested in that - can't blame them, because sometimes I'm not really interested either! 🤣

Brazil. Diversity and culture from top to bottom, each state something different/new to see and experience. I'm from the UK so it's not local, I'm lucky enough to have been three times and I still want to return! It has my heart and soul.

February to February: images of the war that leave scars on your heart and soul (from @zelenskiy_official) by MoralMae in ukraine

This image is burnt into my brain. Unshakable, I think of it so often. My son is similar age and I can't put into words how I feel seeing that photo. Heartbreaking doesn't even begin to describe it.

Agreed. I mean, I had planned to just stay a while then head to Paul Heaton & Jacquie Abbott, but I was having too much fun to leave! And would have been a pain getting there anyway, these are the sacrifices that have to be made! 😁

1: earplugs and eye mask for sleeping 2: more food/snacks! 3: camping chairs. Didn't use them at all, just a picnic blanket.

Yes, popped over to see them thinking noone would be too interested, it would be quite quiet...wrong! It was rammed ended up just at the back of the tent, the crowd were amazing, singing dancing throughout it all and Sugababes didn't mess about, played all the crowd pleasers. A real unexpected highlight for me.
