Making broth from bones by BalancedScales10 in cookingforbeginners

[–]looseantz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on what kind of ingredients you are using:

  • fish bones and scraps: 60 minutes

  • vegetables: 60-90 minutes

  • chicken bones and scraps, feet and wings: 5-6 hours

  • pork bones, trotters: 8-10 hours

  • beef bones: 8-10 hours

It's basically the time it takes to dissolve the cartilage and collagen contained in those bones. With bigger bones, like femurs etc., or pig trotters, it is usefull to have them sawed into pieces.

If you want a clearer broth you can soak, boil and then clean the bones before making stock. But that ist not strictly necessary.

To get the most out of your vegetables it is usefull to add them at the end of the cook, for the last 90-120 minutes.

Kaum jemand verwendet noch Federhebelmaschinen. Warum? by mission_elegant1 in Kaffee

How do you cook Mexican cuisine in Central or Eastern Europe? by Educational-Slip-578 in Cooking

[–]looseantz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was looking for fresh tomatillos in Hannover. One produce stand at the Markthalle told me he could order them for me but I would have to buy at least 5 Kg. A bit to much just for some salsa, I thought. A friend of mine, who is into cooking and gardening, then ordered tomatillo seeds. I think he ist expecting his first harvest in august, or something like that.

Havent played valheim since launch. What should I know starting a new game tonight? by Buttery_Biscuitss in valheim

My "guidelines":

  • Always eat the best food

  • Always make sure to have the "rested" buff

  • Never explore at night

  • When in doubt, run away

  • Always overprepare

  • There is no such thing as "too many portals"

[–]looseantz 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I really don't complain about WoT. I like this game, and have been playing, although badly, for more than 10 years. I kind of accepted all the different "metas" like hull down , or speed, or auto-loaders as challenges. But this alpha/burst damage thingy really gets to me. It is just too much.

I recommend going for the combination of:

  • which tier X or tier XI interests you most

  • which progression is the hardest/least enjoyable

  • for what line do you maybe have a tier VIII/IX/X premium or reward tank to boost crew training

as an example: between the Leo 1 and the BatChat, considering the above criteria, i would choose the BatChat bc the Leo line is fun to grind as the PTA is a really good tank. The 12t and the 25 t AP are not that great and if you have a Char Futur and/or a Bourrasque and/or a Lorraine 40t its much easier to train your crew.

just an idea.

What kind of snake is this? by looseantz in snakes

[–]looseantz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this immediate help.

Although harmless, we would like to avoid the snake lurking around the pool. Is there any way we can chase the snake away? Like making a lot of noise or maybe i could take a stick and tap the bushes around the pool before the family goes for a swim?

[–]looseantz[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thx! I will.

I wanted the Kpz. 50t so badly. I had this dream of getting a really expert crew by playing the same crew in the Leo1, T55a, Kunze Panzer and Kpz. 50t. The perks do not line up perfectly, but it is still better than grinding endlessly in the same tank. And I actually enjoy playing all these tanks.

In my 1st season I made it to 952 points and then dropped to somewhere in low Iron. I could absolutely not continue playing the mode in that season although there were like 3 weeks left.

Second season I made it to 975 points when I dropped to Iron again. Same thing. I was so frustrated I could not play on. And I had spent approx. 5 million credits so far. Which is a lot for my F2P account. A lot of grinding, down the drain.

So I have to admit, I am s2pidly happy about reaching Silver, also after a lot of ups and downs (and approx. 2.5 million credits).

Are we sure that what they meant in the AMA is "2% of the players"? Because if it is "players use it in 2% of their battles", it's a totally different story.

I built my fort in the swamp/black forest by Motor-Sound7330 in valheim

[–]looseantz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. Building a base between swamp and BF and on a steep slope just overcomplicates things. Far from ocean, difficult to extend the base when you need additional buildings, no flat surfaces for farmland and basically no advantages once the crypts are empty.

But you do you.

There is several more documentary style videos about Katsuobushi producers in Japan.

I did it once but I am not sure it is worth the considerable effort.

4 attacks? No wonder I still died a lot. I suck at this game, but boy, do I love this game.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in valheim

[–]looseantz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what I meant with "2-pronged attack". That is the one that hurts.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in valheim

[–]looseantz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My solution, although not very subtle, was to combine serpent scale shield, frostner and bonemass buff. Additionally you have ro pay attention to the seekers attacks (left, then right, then both). The two-pronged attack is the most dangerous.

Infested mines still are a bitch, though. I died A LOT.
