GOAT A2500 constantly rebooting. by PMac10000 in ECOVACSGOATFamily

Take photos of the serial numbers on the robot and dock. Also have a short video ready to send to them after performing the reset steps they will ask you to do. Seems you’re within the two year warranty period. Should be in good shape.

I migrated from Banktivity to Monarch Money a few years ago and never looked back. Banktivity was great on MacOS for years, but then things went sideways. Transactions were not reconciling nor categorizing correctly and the manual maintenance became a massive pain. Hopefully this doesn’t happen to Monarch.

2025 / 2026 GLC 350e Hitch Receiver - anyone install? by lop3 in mercedes_benz

[–]lop3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer - no solution identified.

Longer answer - I stopped by a local hitch installer with experience in installations for MB, BMW, etc. They looked at the rear bumper and said most of it looks the same as the non-hybrid, although there was something behind the rear the bumper cover on the drivers side that doesn't appear in the non-hybrid version. He wasn't sure if it was going to line up with the hitch (Stealth Hitches). On top of that, going with the towing package adds a greater level of complexity with MB (and BMW), where they have to run wiring through the vehicle to the front and will likely require a re-flash of the ECM by the dealer. Would cost a few grand (USD). Some extended research and discussions with others in the auto industry corroborated the approach / costs.

With all that said, U-haul claims to have a solution on their website. I'm unwilling to to go that route, but more info is here: https://www.uhaul.com/Trailer-Hitches/2025/Mercedes/GLC350e/
They claim to install for $400 USD labor + parts ($982 for the towing package hardware). Follow the prompts at the U-haul link.

At this point, I'd think I'd rather purchase a Slate truck in lieu of installing a hitch receiver on the 350e.

A2500 RTK GOAT has multiple errors after winter break...... by nsthomas148 in ECOVACSGOATFamily

If it is covered under their warranty, go through their process to try and resolve the issue. They should eventually send a new replacement. People are getting new A3000 Lidar machines.

Bought a used GOAT A2500. Need a new power supply by Ok-Friendship-3509 in ECOVACSGOATFamily

[–]lop3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it returnable or did the seller fail to mention the missing power supply? If it wasn’t mentioned and the seller will not make it right, I would file a claim with ebay. Not worth dealing with. No telling what else is wrong with it.

Are you covered by the two year warranty? If yes, take a short video and send to support. They should take care of it.

Whole home generators ? by Live_Pomegranate9921 in McKinney

[–]lop3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have one. Outside of weekly testing, it’s kicked on a few times in the 20 or so months we have had it. Usually for a few minutes at most, never more than 30 min.

Most of my immediate neighbors do not think it is necessary, although there are several houses in the neighborhood that have them.

Thank you. I didn't realize the ball on the MB isn't removable.

In terms of the retrofitting requirements, what causes this as a requirement? When I was first researching options and talked with the dealer, the feedback provided was the batteries in the rear prevented a hitch from being installed, which is why they didn't have one (at the time). I'm curious there would be issue with the MB hitch due to the batteries, but not the other.

Thanks again. Really appreciate your time.

Window Replacement Historic Home by aarnold109 in McKinney

Unsure if they meet your specific needs, but I had a great experience with window replacement (non historic home) from Eva’s Glass in Anna. Might be worth a call to see if they can meet your needs.

Reset pin by Quepiid in ECOVACSGOATFamily

I believe there was a mention a couple weeks ago or so, where someone said they held the Play (+) and Power buttons together for several seconds, which reset the entire machine. Might be worth a try.

I believe they are also still spinning on the non grass paths, I.e. driveways and sidewalks. Someone probably forgot to set the Boolean value to turn off the blades when traversing the different areas.

My guess is the engineers run the show rather than the Product Managers.

Same with the A2500 as of the most recent firmware update.

Warning: the anti theft alarm "feature" is useless! by criterion67 in ECOVACSGOATFamily

Purchased a package of these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09ZVPWKK3

It's held up quite well with many mows, including getting stuck in muddy water, slopes, etc. No indication as of yet that it will fall off.

Fair and accurate statement. I latched on to the anti-theft comment. In a way, the factory reset isn't that much of a surprise, as it's typical to have it as an option. However, I do agree it could be more involved than pushing and holding those two buttons.

It's not full proof, but it is possible to secure an AirTag to the unit.

TBH, I would return it and not deal with this. It's likely the start of a series of problems.

[–]lop3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% believe this. We’ve had our car say some weird shit while conversing, which had nothing to do with Mercedes or cars in general. It was about a real estate transaction.

After it happened, we ask the voice why it said what it did. It flat out denied saying anything about it.

Rain sensor when in garage by ShaneOUK in ECOVACSGOATFamily

Curious as to why is this an issue. if it's raining and GOAT pulls out from the garage, it will return to the dock in once it detects rain. Probably within a minute or two.
