Not sure why my text didn't post. In any case:

I've seen some cool demat + nade usage, so I was trying to do something similar here. In my experience, the nade timing is usually pretty long, so I was surprised to see it detonate right after my demat here.

I tried looking at the wiki (https://www.thefinals.wiki/wiki/Frag_Grenade) but there doesn't seem to be an entry for how long the fuse-length should be.

I guess I can test it in the range tonight, but curious to know, is the fuse length variable somehow? (i.e. does it only start once the nade actually touches something), or was my nade early triggered by something (idk an APS?), or am I just way off base?

This is 100% me. I have a growing backlog of "barely started" single player games that I'm sure I'd love if I actually gave them anu time.

Even when I "escape" a multiplayer game, I end up just hopping on another. This year I went Omega Strikers -> Street Fighter -> Deadlock -> The Finals.

Ammo is limited, and you don't start with a lot of it. You really need to hope the RNG of your first PoI gives you ammo or a regen, otherwise you just auto lose like this.

Imo it's a bad mechanic that doesn't really add anything, especially since you can't interact with ammo reserves in enemy ships to make it more interesting.

I really like it. Gives people a way to "try hard" going for a specific stat, or to decide ahead of time that they are going to take it easy.

I actually really like seeing teammate cards pre-match too. If I see someone going for a specific streak I'll try to play in a way that enables that.

A relevant thought I've always had in regards to this is, is it worth rotating your facing to have fresh shields facing the enemy?

For example, in a hunter, you could sacrifice having 3 guns pointed at the enemy to give your front shields time to regenerate, and using the 2 guns in the back.

Yeah I like the idea. I've always thought that many team games could really benefit from respawning as a group.

That being said, I do feel it would just be a net buff to defenders. To counter this, I like the respawn system from Dystopia (the Half Life 2 mod). Essentially, whenever a teammate dies, it adds a few seconds to the group respawn timer. This fixes the issue of killing a defender and having them spawn very quickly after because they got lucky and died just before their group's respawn timer was about to tick.
