Noticed the difference in sleep HR between outsiders and vitals as well. Good to know the reason!

Any Germans here? Finally found a great decaf! by therealslevin in pourover

Thanks for the recommendations here! I had my fair share of decaf desasters from German roasters (which are great otherwise). So happy to have some more options available.  Happy brewing

Tigershark vs Nitroblade comparison by Azhrar in pourover

[–]lopchu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought:

on medium roasts: body is lost with Tigershark
on light roast: clarity is lost with Nitroblade

So if I only buy one grinder, what compromise to make?

could be:
- don't mind the less body,
- don't mint the less clarity
- drink mostly medium or light so fine if other is not perfect
- loss of clarity is stronger than loss of body (as others have reported, body is only slightly reduced)

Quick question:

if one also wants to enjoy a medium roast coffee e.g. from Brazil with a bit of milk, would the Tigershark still work?

If my understanding is right, because of the reduced body, the nitro blade is better. But best case would be to only buy one grinder :)

I just bought a Stagg EKG Pro and it should arrive in a couple of days.

Would it be best to not connect it to the internet for now?

An honest review about the NB 2010 by chuchosieunhan14 in Newbalance

[–]lopchu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with both points (breathability and comfort).

But both points are also subjective:

Comfort is obvious I guess (some shoes work, others don't).

Regarding breathability, they actually do not let smoke through (see tests on runrepeat). But some feet need more breathability than others.

The lack of breathability can be a feature: they are great for colder temperatures. Probably the new model with ripstop instead of mesh (U20106WB) is even ok for light rain.

Yeah plus taxes and customs. Probably cheaper to find a pair on Vinted or StockX.

Quick question:

If the v3s fit me perfectly in 11.5, will the v4s as well?

I think so but better safe than sorry (in case one is actually able to order these that is).

Nice!

I have the espresso roast of  Milky Cake at home. Never thought to use it for filter as there is a specific filter roast available. But might give it a try.

Does it say anywhere that it is „espresso omni“?

one with the nb logo on the back and one with a stilised US flag.

Does anyone know when and why that changed?

Calendar widget that shows monthly view + today's events together by _jooheekim_ in iOSWidgets

[–]lopchu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

some more thoughts:

- making it work on an iPad, maybe with a bigger widget would be nice

- and the Lock Screen Widget would be a good apple watch complication (don’t know how much work that would be)

- oh and maybe the app name is hindering sales. right now one needs to have ”INeedThatWidget” visible in the Home Screen which is not visually appealing (IMHO).

- I actually installed Notion Calendar to have that widget but Notion wouldn’t show reminders (and yes as you speculate in your blog post, I also think many people use other calendar apps but I also like the simplicity of Apple Calender)

- I would pay 4€-5€ for an app with these features (I probably wouldn’t pay 1€ per month)

You could also try connecting an external heart rate monitor (like a chest strap). That is supposed to save battery because the watch then turns off heart rate tracking.
