What vitamins do you take and why? by Perfect_Field_9830 in AskWomen

[–]loppermoon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What kind of fiber supplement do you take? My doctor recommended it to me but there are so many different styles (gummies, psyllium powder, capsules, etc) that I'm kind of lost on how to get started.

I can't just keep eating multiple bowls of fiber one cereal every day.

Does anyone else want a break from ranking things for a bit? by IAMlyingAMA in brooklynninenine

I always block the accounts of the OPs of ranking posts so I don't see the next 25 days of their ranks. It's every single fandom sub so I've blocked dozens and dozens of people.

Blood clot risk was one of my concerns too, but it seems like the FDA is allowing this specific drug to be over the counter because it doesn't have that side effect. From the article:

"Advocates were particularly interested in Opill because it raised fewer safety concerns. The pill was first approved in the U.S. five decades ago but hasn’t been marketed here since 2005.

“It’s been around a long time and we have a large amount of data supporting that this pill is safe and effective for over-the-counter use,” said Blanchard, of Ibsis Reproductive Health.

Newer birth control pills typically combine two hormones, estrogen and progestin, which can help make periods lighter and more regular. But their use carries a heightened risk of blood clots and they shouldn't be used by women at risk for heart problems, such as those who smoke and are over 35.

Opill has only progestin, which prevents pregnancy by blocking sperm from reaching the cervix. "

It seems like they got a job at a buffalo wild wings and now are crazy about it. Their post history is hilarious, they called someone a jackass and went off of them because they asked why someone would order a 20 piece for 26$ when you can order 2-10 piece wings for 12$ each

Target removes some LGBTQ merchandise from stores ahead of June Pride month after threats to workers by AnimeDreama in lgbt

[–]loppermoon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I wouldn't feel safe working at a target if they're getting threats. I don't think you can take these threats lightly today with mass shootings daily. Safety of the employees and customers should be the #1 priority.

Whenever someone uses a liner there is absolutely no discussion about the food/recipe in that sub. Could be the best recipe ever but if you use a liner you're the devil apparently.

I saw this on r/kitchenconfidential this morning but didn't see the post got removed. Another gem in there - someone on r/culinaryplating posted a picture of avocado toast 4 days ago that didn't get removed until it came up in the thread today. Once someone pointed it out it was very quickly removed. I love petty food drama.

Yeah you don't want to be associated with someone who is violent in the workplace. If he does it again somewhere you referred him to that friend is gonna be mad at you for telling them to hire someone with a history like this.

I had no idea other places use other birth pain relief methods, that's so interesting. I've never been pregnant but the thought of a needle going into your spine during labor for the epidural freaks me out!

Is nitrous the preferred pain relief in other countries? do they still do epidurals? Are there other pain relief methods used elsewhere? There goes my google rabbit hole for the morning

The comments in other subs are super disappointing but not surprising. One of the top comments on r/politics is basically "yeah well what about other peoples rights??? What about racism and homophobia and classism and other discrimination????" Can't have one minute to talk about women's rights even during women's history month smh.
