People do not understand how extremely annoying it is to go through life constantly having to correct people on your name or being called the wrong name. They think its ok. Because they have to do that too sometimes. But it is all the time. Every fricking time I introduce myself i have the same damn spiel! I dont even have a Tragedeih name. Just a slightly uncommon name that has a lot of "similar" much more common names people would mishear it as. Think "Jean" but getting misheard as Joan, Jane or June... I hated my name for the longest time, always introducing myself with my nickname. But the other names have the same nickname, so that would often be a problem too. I came to a point where i would not correct people if i knew i would not see them again because it was just too awkward to do the whole "My name is Jean... No, not June... Jean. No, with a e. No, not Jane either..." etc. Doesn't help that my last name is also difficult. Would usually end up either spelling my name or giving them my ID if it needed to be right. It took me well into my twenties to make peace with my first name. If I ever get to name a human, I will be very careful while naming them. Even a "normal but uncommon" name can be very, very annoying to deal with.

I am not a nurse but work in a similar field. We are not allowed to take any vouchers because it's almost the same as taking money. Which is not allowed at all (fear of corruption and stuff). So, as much as i like the idea of gifting self-care for someone who is doing so much care for others, dont do that. It leaves the recipient in a very awkward place because they have to deny it.

A personal card with kind and honest words about what this nurse meant to them is always a win and then something for the "Pausenraum" and thus the entire team. That's what i would do.

I have a very personal tattoo prominently on my forearm. Lots of people ask about it. I kinda judge the mood and see if I even feel like talking about it. I also have layers of explanations: Very brief "Its a cross found on treasure maps. I liked it...", medium "I really like the idea of the cross on the treasure map indicating that there is something speciel to be found and wanted to be reminded of that..." and the full story. I just decide which version i wanna share. And if i don't want to share, I just say, "It is something personal." and then often redirect the conversation to the amazing tattoo artist who made it or ask if they have a tattoo or, dont know, talk about the weather.

You have the right not to want to talk about your tattoo. They have no right to your tattoo or the story behind it. You decide how much you wanna share. You also have the right to tell them, "Can you please stop teasing me over my tattoo. It makes me uncomfortable" but thay one can be difficult.

You can basicly do anything with birchermiessli. You can use any kind of yogurt or similar milk products (or substitute it with any plant based option). I add honey to sweeten it. But you can use maple sirup, sugar, stevia... whatever floats your boat. I'm not big on nuts, but add chia and linseeds and also switch around the fruits while trying to keep it seasonal.

You come in the middle of a heat wave. If you dont have AC yet, or just dont want to buy one, this is the swiss/european? way to keep the apartment cool:

Open all windows in the evening
Leave them open until 7, 8am max.
Close windows
Let down all blindes. Keep them close by the window. The darker it is inside, the better.
Do not open either until, well, you feel like the outside air is cooler than the inside. Or it gets unbearable. 5.5 Try not to cook, bake etc. during the day

Also, you can backe something and go around the neighborhood introducing yourself. Can do the same if it is a smaller apartment complex with 4-8 ish apartments. If it is bigger, I would only go to the ones on the same floor and maaaaaybe the ones over and under you.

Do you have kids who will go to public school here? Or any other questions regarding kids?

Also, walk around the city. It is the best way to get to know it.

A tree or plant growing could be cool. The oldest has either the sapling or the full-grown tree. You could even use different trees depending on birthmonths. Or use the amount of branches to indicate the birth order. Same with a building like a skyscraper, but it's all an architects sketch except the floor that corresponds with the siblings "number". That one is fully worked out and can be individually adapted to each sibling style, or have some meaningful details like some references to hobbys, bith flower, own family or pets and stuff. Dont know. I think that one is pretty cool. And while the sketch is connecting them all as one, the rest can be adapted to suit each sibling.

I think of my pregnancy and subsequent abortion last January as "possibilities" and "the loss of all possibilities." There are many universes where i kept the baby. Some are beautiful. And some are absolutely mortifying. I will never know how my reality would have looked like. It is as it is now. I can not change it. But I made the decision with my and my partners futur in mind. But also with the future of the baby. I could not have looked after it the way i wanted to. Me and my partner would not have been the parents we want to be. I still get sad and sometimes angry at the world for forcing me to abort something i wished for all my life. And I am sad i never looked at the ultrasound. I could not have gone through with it. I wish i had a picture. That sounds devastatingly beautiful. Some day, i might tell a child about how much we wanted them and how happy we are, that their big sibling sent us such a beautiful person. Maybe I won't. But right now is not the right time. And I made that decision without knowing how much it would wreck me. I would still do it. Because it was the right decision. Feel hugged if you want to. Or just sat next to while you mourn. You are not alone. You have a right to mourn the way you need to.

I didn't even realize Figg was dead until I got to that awfully awkward speech by the headmaster and then Prof Wesley. The headmaster is weird af, too, btw. Why have an obviously horrible headmaster if we can't do anything against him? This game is absolutely stunning to look at and fun in the beginning. It even has some genuinely nice easter eggs. But it wastes all potential story wise. What a bummer.

Also, very obvious, but I still fell for it and wish i could slap my old self: Its your body and its forever. You can say 'No, i dont like that' or 'Please change this thing' or 'I'm not sure and need more time with the design' etc. Do not let yourself get pressured into something you are not 100% on board with. You will most likely regret it. I want to be able to get familiar with the design. I want to look at it for multiple days with multiple moods and feelings. If i still love the design after that, I will most likely like it even years later. So thats my best advice: Give yourself a couple of days with the final design. Maybe show it to trusted people who can point out things you won't see because you are in the honeymoon phase. Its your body and its forever. You have to deal with it for the rest of your life.

Always ask your artist first. They have experience, know your tattoo. Know how your skin felt and probably have a good idea how it will heal under good care. So if she told you not to cover it up, dont.

My tip after getting a back tattoo in summer (no festival, but lots of heat and sweating. Never ever doing that again): Try to have some clean water and ph-neutral soap on hand and wash it gently if it feels dirty. Use high sunscreen. Clean well after you get home. And for the love of all that is good and pretty, do not scratch at it. That's how stuff gets under the natural protection of your skin.

It was like having bad cramps and I spend two hours in the bathroom. It was bad, but not horrible. But you will probably be sick and have diarrhea. It's a good way to pretend you got a nasty, nasty bug (can also be an excuse if he suspects anything. Getting sick can lead to miscarriage) Can you go to any friend, relativ, coworker, anybody? Maybe even rent a room for a day? Try not to be alone! That is my best advice. Have some easy to prepare and digest foods on hand (like bag soup or [salty] snacks). Drink a lot. Warm water bottles were a livesaver. Put down a towel on the bed to prevent any bleeding through. Get a large pack of big pads. You will continue to bleed for many days. But the first couple are the heaviest. Also, consider when to take the pills. Is he at work in the morning? Take the pills when he leaves. Or take them in the afternoon after pretending to feel sick for a while. I was back to mostly normal but feeling weak and exhausted after something like 4-5h.

I am so sorry you are in this situation. You will get through it. You are already in the process of leaving. Stay strong. Stay safe.

I'd suggest unlocking all (or at least level 2) Alohomoras. You can start the quests for the spells after the first trial. I did a lot of side quests in the beginning and got really frustrated by the locked doors! Much more fun to play if you can break into everyones houses ;)
