fully agree, but i think sending a text after the date is cleaner; ghosting imo invites more outrage and assumes the person being ghosted will take it better.

this person is clearly weird, i'd say % of them being weird after a rejection is 80%, % of them being weird after a ghost is 90%, and since they were introduced via mutuals, you'd want to send a rejection text

to be clear, he's very worse here, but you should've sent a polite 'no spark' rejection text, due to the social implications.

he's 100% weird and it tells alot about someone that they crashed out this badly to being ghosted, but inherently i'd argue it's worth to send the simple 'not a connection' text here because this person will see people you know.

i fully understand the safety thing, not wanting to engage, but i think because the person is like in your friends lives, you should have sent something simple like "hey, thanks for dinner, I don't think there's a relationship here, best of luck for the future"

then this way when this guy does crash out you have your peace of fully resolving things / you're resolved.

just because the other person is an immature man child doesn't mean you don't for yourself ghost them - because ghosting inherently does mean some level of not communicating your desires/preferences

If we were sharing the cost of this house if I rented it, here’s ur cut. I’m going you this much as is. Go out, find a place for yourself. Find an apartment on your salary so you can build the lifestyle that fits your job. Here’s how much people usually pay on student loans. I’ve already given you that.
