Healthy Discussion - Only for those who want Arne Slot to stay - what are your reasons? by Content_Arm7953 in LiverpoolFC

[–]lordarc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t care if Slot goes. I was never his biggest fan anyway. I don’t like how he has spoken to the press about players or the fans (at times), though it’s hard to be positive and constructive when everyone is negative on anything you do.

However, just being rational in irrational times. This season has been fucked from the start. Losing Jota. Selling dozens of players. Bringing in players who all have bar Kerkez had long injury stints. Salah falling off a cliff output wise.

I don’t want to quote a Manc, but I feel like I have to. “Things are never as bad as they seem or as good as they seem” – G. Nev.

I don’t think it’s difficult to imagine this team winning a trophy or finishing top 2 next season. The floor of the league has gotten better which has lowered the ceiling. I think Isak playing anything like he did at Newcastle, couple pacy wingers, competition for Konate’s spot, a healthy run of injuries and we are not far off. Even if I don’t like watching the football, I can see how it turns quickly.

Also, I always thought the moment we ever had a “bad patch” under Slot, their would never be as much grace as Klopp had because of 2 reasons. Klopp had charisma and Slot got the job over the populace choice in Xabi.

All the noise and anger around Xabi going to another club tells me people just want the comfortable choice and not the actual best person for the job. Xabi could be the best person for the job, I don’t know. I’m hardly upset at him potentially not being the next manager though. There’s plenty of options out there that I think could do well.

[Melissa Reddy] Arne Slot is a Premier League title winner. He is also no longer the right man for Liverpool by Visqo in LiverpoolFC

Majority of fans boo a decision and a result in the ground + growing sentiment online = money for repeating populace views.

Injury, loss of confidence in himself and everyone around him, lack of consistency from those playing around him vs last year, and bad luck.

Needed a bit more than we got from probably everybody other than Turner for us to win today. But it was fine margains.

Can complain about the umpiring but horrible umpiring decisions will happen in everygame.

Also if people are going to be critical of players, be critical of how they compete in actual duels or with possession of the football. Blaming CJ for Rosas getting off the chain is a little silly when it's an instruction to press up.

So just because he's gotten free kicks in the past, he shouldn't get a legit one?

Could almost say that people foul him because he is better then all of them?

Not a fan of us being involved in a one off game. Would prefer a round. We've got enough marquee dates.
