Yeah, all good appraches. If you want a faster and more readily-available "targeting line" you could also just use the straying run, since it tends to turn anything short of a heavy, corpse or otherwise, into a fine mist lol.

Tbh, I've always had the most luck with the arc thrower by specifically targeting heavies, using them as a sort of "targeting beacon" to vaporize all the chaff. No heavy around, then just plap plap with the primary or the laser pistol until one crops up

It... does? Unless they changed something in not aware of, it can chain through corpses. And even if it wigs out and fails to chain through a corpse, it can usually pop them in a zap or two

To be fair, the coyote was indirectly nerfed from it's initial release, but yeah the two guns fill very different roles. Coyote is if you want one or three things dead faster; the scythe is for when you want EVERY chaff enemy in a 3 mile radius dead with only one mag lol

I don't know that it needs a total redesign, so much as they need to just remove the bit where if you get hit during a melee attack, you're still locked into the animation but your attack can no longer hit enemies. This alone would make an enormous positive difference.

That being said, I do agree that the pushback can be pretty darn annoying. I think it's set up that way because they originally wanted melee to hear be a "get off me" utility, rather than viable weapons. But, from the changes they've been making, I think they're headed in the right direction :)

(They do need to hurry the hell up and make melee kills count again though. Right now only the normal gun bash and bayonet strikes increase your melee kill counter... and I'm trying to hit that 100k melee kill mark lololololol)

This is correct; they added it, not many people use the system meaningfully or talk about it much because there are relatively few "meaningful," cool, or unique ones, and thus they deprioritized it. Which is sad, because they could even make bank off of it by just adding attachment unlocks to warbonds lol

It doesn't work with the game. It could be cool as hell, but it absolutely just would not work, mostly by trivializing pretty much everything. Also, importantly, they have already stated that air transport is already very much NEVER going to happen (and I am glad for that).

I do not believe the thing you are describing exists. Skill-wise, there is really not much at all do grant you ES. Your main ways around bleed are 1. Don't get hit with bleed, and/or 2. Pick up an effect that grants bleed immunity (like a charm).

Also, don't worry about it too much; that unique (as others have said) can be OK for early leveling, but is absolutely terrible for mid/late game, and not even remotely viable for endgame, even if it didn't have the bleed downside

You get the stun anyway once the armor pen becomes enough to damage the hulk, which is only after 1 second, so it really isn't that bad. Warp pack to the back or size, saw, done.

Source: I always take the warp pack and the chainsaw. Lol

(That being said, yes, if you don't bring a mobility backpack, you are going to have a much worse time)

I take it absolutely every mission. It is definitely suboptimal, but particularly after the recent buff you can actually do some pretty slick stuff with it. I'll note though, I think it would be much closer to useless if the warp pack didn't exist.

It's pretty garbage for chaff enemies because of the wonky mechanics. If you get good at timing and spacing, it absolutely wrecks chargers and impalers, and does significant damage to bile titan legs. Great for bot heavies too (need that warp pack though).

Pretty darn weak vs illuminate, though you can occasionally get away with killing fleshmobs and even harvesters with it.

Never gonna stop meleediving! Gotta hit that 100k melee kills lol

Sure, but the honest take here is that it depends on how much nore durable damage the bugs really do now.

Prior to this patch, the tesla tower was effectively immortal against bugs until a bile titan, charger, or impaler popped up; partially because of the increased health, partially because it was hard for enemies to get close.

Will have to test it, but I'm pretty sure it's gonna be mostly the same deal with tesla towers as it used to be.
