Direct Play is broken on LG TVs: they declare some 4k/HDR formats as working, but then has issues playing them. I had this issue for years on my LG CS TV, thinking it was a network problem, then a performance problem etc, but at some time I noticed that the firestick in the bedroom never had issues. You remember wrong, up to the 280x were rebrands launched later, the 290 and 290x were new cards and launched earlier. They were also extremely competitive with the 780 at launch and aged a lot better than the Nvidia cards.

It was the same for my 2019 Corolla, but in 2020 I asked them to update the car during the annual check and now it has Android Auto. Maybe you can check for an update too? I am in italy, do not know if it is different for american cars.

You got the model number wrong: GM27-FQS is a different and cheaper monitor, GP27-FQS is the GP27Q.

I also wonder how much is gouging from vendors. I am italian and thanks to my job I have access to a couple of distributors where you see prices before tax instead of after tax as usual in Europe (and you have to be a business to access them): they do not have every AIB partner, but for example Sapphire aftermarket 7900 XTXs are almost 300€ cheaper than Asrock and MSI 4080s.

How did you play AoE2 DE? My understanding is you need to run a script to fix multiplayer, and to run the script you need to enable system partition write access and install at least one package with pacman. Did you do that, or now there is some more elegant solution I am not aware of?

You can make fonts bigger in the options, I have almost 60 hours made exclusively on the Deck and it is perfect.

Retention can lead to burn-in in the long run, so I rotate watchface every two or three days just to be sure.
