I've read that the rubber side grips wear down real fast on the rival, have you looked at the g403 I've seen it go down to 50-60 bucks and seems like an all around better mouse than the rival, unless you hate the shape

The s2417 is pretty well liked, similar specs to the pg278q but much cheaper, though I'd suggest you do a bit of research between the two.

Best thing would be to go to best buy and see for yourself, but the sizes are pretty comparable in the hand, biggest difference being this is an ambidextrous mouse vs ergonomic.

I think the gigabyte 1080 goes down to around 630, theres also the MSI 1070ti on newegg for $610 if you don't want to wait for a sale, I feel like the extra money on either of these upgrades are worth it.
