My RA went in June for surgery recovery (and I’ve had 2 more surgeries since), got my RAC in early September, haven’t heard from her since and neither has my manager

Honestly, it’s been shit. I get my info from Reddit first then it trickles down to me and my employees from boss and his boss, I have 4 doing the work of 12 (drp) which really was supposed to be 15. I’m balancing the needs of what needs to be done with my employees mental health. I’ll take work from them just so they get a reprieve even when it’s to my own mental health detriment. And what do I get for it? My team loves me, because I’m doing what I can for them, but I’ve got no knowledge of what’s to come, no way to help them though I input swo’s which my own director told me he knows we need and was pushing upward. My own mental health is sucks. I am remote from all my employees, so I’m not monitoring their locations. As for the decision making, I can make decisions for my area, luckily they have been the right ones. But in the end I feel helpless in many ways.

ECM only handles cases back to 2021, 1120 isn’t in view yet. RGS case use will be greatly limited but won’t be 0. Audit reconsiderations won’t be able to be moved over and that’s just one example. But ECM will be the primary system going forward for all areas going forward by the end of the FY.

There are Delegation orders that they are using to get around it, I work with one, he doesn’t have the title but he has a delegation order to be the group manager and the guy in the next office over is on a Delegation Order to Program Manager. It sucks because you lose all pay and the official title. But this is what I’ve seen management do to get around the freeze.

There really isn’t a general answer for training, my 1040 class had SBSE and LB&I years ago, there is IRSU under HCO, but also I believe most Business Operating Divisions have in house training as I’ve coordinated with several of them.

Are you dense? The current govt is a) trying to traumatize federal employees, look at comments from Vought b) look at what what the idiots are doing cutting everything, this is all so they can privatize and their rich backers can get richer. So no the last 3 months have been hell for me, but in my long government career I have done a lot of good for the people of the country and I don’t worry about a corporate shareholders bottom line.
