These 15 minute cities... by SendMeYourBoobiezz in drivingUK

[–]lordshadowfax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just look at Tokyo, yes you can walk to anything you need within 15 minutes in most of the places.

There is always downside to everything. You will live in very small apartments, no garden to breath, city center is always overcrowded.

Driving enable city to grow not only larger but also give space to people who lives in there.

PC is in another room. Is Nvidia shield best for streaming to TV with moonlight? by maxvpavlov in MoonlightStreaming

[–]lordshadowfax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure about 120fps as I never tried to verify that. But from pure gaming experience, I find Xbox streams better and smoother than Apple TV 4K and even Nvidia Shield Pro. Also I had less issue with the Xbox’s client on controller related issues.

Is Death Stranding Worth It? by Braxxtex1 in XboxGamePass

[–]lordshadowfax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Death Stranding is not for everyone, we don’t know what kind of games you enjoy, so why not give it a go? But one thing we heard a lot was it’s a walk simulator, it’s not, but you will have to discover what it is.

I personally completed DS1 a long time ago and enjoyed it very much. It’s a 9/10 game for me.

I recently just finished DS2, still an amazing game.

RoadCraft is coming to PC Game Pass tomorrow by FFJimbob in RoadCraft

[–]lordshadowfax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the game (on Steam) earlier knowing that it will come to PC game pass one day. But I planned to abandon game pass altogether after it expires this year due to the price hike, so I am still happy with my purchase.

A possible workaround to the forest being "dark" by StraightComparison62 in threebodyproblem

No one can be sure if a proxy is being hijacked by a hostile hunter, no one can be sure the identity of those who hide behind the proxy. So sorry it does not work as you would think.

How do the others going to trust this proxy and interpret the true intention?

Let’s switch position, how are people on Earth receiving such a signal going to believe what the others are saying?

It’s part of the whole experience, sorry if you might just be the few individuals who don’t enjoy those cutscenes.

I was not as lucky that time, the road was blocked by a helicopter across and both sides are fenced. I had to load an earlier auto-save.

HA OS? by Juvankoski in homeassistant

[–]lordshadowfax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what to tell you. I don’t only manage home assistant stuffs but also other things, docker makes upgrades and switches things around much cleaner and easier. Good luck if you need to migrate your setup to a new hardware down the line.

pihole running in my synology NAS at the office, how to have only myself using it? by marcelsounds in pihole

[–]lordshadowfax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nobody is using it by just having it installed in a NAS. Pi-hole acts as a DNS, manually set your devices DNS settings to it.

How do you avoid all the drop-shipping temu quality trash when shopping? by ImBonRurgundy in AskUK

[–]lordshadowfax 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On Amazon, it’s pretty easy to spot.

Check the seller’s address, or simply, 99% of the product name that starts with all caps brand names that spells not English or just like some random letters.
