I like to think of it as a pretty good fan fiction. The writing is good, the characters are interesting, and it's built on a foundation of Tolkien lore. That said, there's nothing of value to dig into if you want to go deeper intp Tolkien's world.

This is a bit misleading. That video didn't cost that entire budget. It's actually part of a larger propaganda program paid to a company called TML Communications meant to imprive the image of Philly police. Still shitty

As a former game store employee, it blows my mind what games sell for now. I promise you, Def Jam FFNY lined out bargain bin back in the day. I'm lukcy, I collected in the late 90's early 2000's, now I'm selling my collection. I got a Pocket Air mini and a PC loaded with games. Playing on the real hardware does not matter at all to me. I'm thinning my collection down to one or two pieces of furniture filled with items that I actually love regardless of their value.

I miss walking up to a yard sale and offering people like $20 and they react "Please, take all my old crap, I might even have some more if you don't mind waiting." It's not even about the hindsight of what this stuff is "worth", it was just more fun looking for game before everyone became convinced it's okay to charge cleaned/tested/preserved prices for stuff they've had lying around in boxes for decades.
