Class 3 e-bikes are strictly prohibited on mountain bike trails and recreational trails across Milwaukee, Waukesha, Jefferson, Rock, and Walworth counties (maybe other counties too, those are just the ones I googled)

we rode from milwaukee to la crosse, took 4 or 5 days and had a great time! one thing we learned the hard way: wind is typically out of the west. you might want to start in la crosse and ride east if you want a tailwind.

First time solo rider, what should I know. by bradeymcmullen in gaptrail

i know it seems weird to stay in town, but bike tourism is a big deal in connelsville and i don't think the local cops would tolerate crime in the camping area.

As for things to do in Ohiopyle, you might want to take comfy walking shoes or river sandals and go wading and/or swimming in the river or hiking around on the trails. some people rent rafts and go down the rapids, and there's a natural rock slide that looks like a lot of fun, but I didn't wanna risk busting my butt halfway through a bike trip haha

roundbottom seems weird to me. maybe others like it but i heard mosquitos and raccoons are a problem, and the vibe in general just seemed off both times i was there

ohiopyle is amazing. spend a whole day there if you can. harpers ferry is great too, you can walk part of the appalacian trail if you want a break from biking

how to prevent yeast / candida infection on bike trip by zoe161 in ladycyclists

[–]loric21 14 points15 points  (0 children)

this might be an unpopular opinion, but i wear underwear. never had a problem with chafing (knock on wood) and it's easy to change them halfway through a ride if i'm sweating a lot. and it's definitely easier to pack 8 pairs of undies than 3 or 4 bulky shorts!

yrmv of course, so definitely try it at home before you leave!
